HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Tennessee Titans
DeAndre Hopkins posted his best game in a month last Monday in Pittsburgh, as he finished with six catches for 108 yards. He did lose a fumble late that pretty much sealed the victory for the Steelers. DeAndre has been over the century mark twice this season and is averaging 67 yards per contest, but hasn’t scored in three straight. He makes for a WR3 play on Sunday against an average Tennessee D.

HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
After a big first month of the season, DeAndre Hopkins has faded the past two weeks. Last Thursday versus the Colts, he finished with just a 12-yard grab on two targets, as Andre Johnson received most of the looks. Hopkins had 291 yards and three TDs the first four games, but has only seven catches for 75 yards the past two contests. With Arian Foster healthy, Houston moves the ball on the ground first, which already limits DeAndre’s opportunities. Look for him to be no more than a WR3 this week at Pittsburgh.

HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Indianapolis Colts
Last week in the loss to the Cowboys it was the first time this season DeAndre Hopkins either wasn’t in the end zone or registered a 100-yard game. Hopkins did, however, total a team-high 63 yards on six receptions. Ryan Fitzpatrick only threw for 154 yards in the overtime contest with 121 of those yards going to the starting WRs Hopkins and Andre Johnson. With Arian Foster back doing what he does, don’t expect a ton of yards from Fitzpatrick, which means DeAndre’s totals might suffer.

HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Dallas Cowboys
As defenses keyed on Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins had a good first month of the season. Hopkins finished last week’s win over Buffalo with five grabs for 64 yards and his third TD. His 18 catches have produced 291 yards and he’s either been in the end zone or over 100 yards in every game. The Cowboys are giving up over 270 passing yards per game, so keep riding the hot Hopkins.

HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Buffalo Bills
After scoring in the first two weeks of the season, DeAndre Hopkins had his first 100-yard game last week in New Jersey. Hopkins totaled 116 yards on a team-high six receptions against the Giants. While most of his yards came with Houston well behind, DeAndre has been a decent fantasy WR through the first three weeks. However, Arian Foster should be back in the lineup this week, meaning the Texans will look to utilize more of a running attack at home versus the Bills. Hopkins makes for a WR2 start this week, but is a bit volatile given the low volume of the Texans passing attack.

HOU WR DeAndre Hopkins - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. New York Giants
Ryan Fitzpatrick found DeAndre Hopkins for a 12-yard third quarter TD last Sunday in Oakland, the duos second touchdown hookup in as many contests. Hopkins finished with three receptions for 22 yards on the afternoon, as Fitzpatrick only attempted 19 passes. Look for Houston to dominate on the ground again this week versus the Giants, limiting DeAndre’s opportunities.

HOU WR DeAndreHopkins - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 – DeAndre Hopkins vs. Oakland Raiders
In the win over Washington last week, DeAndre Hopkins registered four grabs for 89 yards and the Texans only offensive TD – a 76-yard catch and run. The second-year player was targeted five times by Ryan Fitzpatrick, who only completed 14 passes on the afternoon. Oakland gave up 221 passing yards to the Jets last week, but got blitzed on the ground. Look for Houston to utilize Arian Foster often, which will limit Hopkins' opportunities.
