JAX RB Denard Robinson - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Rookie T.J. Yeldon has moved ahead of Robinson on the depth chart, but Robinson had a strong finish to 2014. He could carve out a role as a third down back even if Yeldon stays healthy.

Fantasy Downside
As with any third down back or backup, the downside of owning Robinson is that you're just waiting for an injury to happen to Yeldon.

Bottom line
Robinson is a classic handcuff at this point. Remember, for about a month last season, he was the No. 8 running back in the league in PPR leagues.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 14 vs. Texans
After gaining 44 yards on 11 attempts last week, Robinson has had two god games in a row. He has caught seven passes in the past two games to help salvage things. The Texans have been pretty decent against the run this season and have allowed just six rushing TDs to running backs. Robinson figures as a low-end starter this week.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 13 vs. Giants
Denard Robinson had his first bad rushing game since becoming the lead back in Jacksonville, gaining just 25 yards on 14 carries. He did have four receptions for 48 yards to salvage the day. Robinson has a nice matchup with the Giants defense and should bounce back with a solid No. 2 back performance this week.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 12 vs. Colts
Denard Robinson has been an effective running back in all four games in which he's gotten the bulk of the carries for the Jags. With the Colts just having been torched for four rushing touchdowns last week against New England, you can bet Jacksonville will want to lean heavily on Robinson this week. He's a solid No. 2 fantasy back.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 10 vs. Cowboys
Denard Robinson has been the cure-all for the Jacksonville running game woes, including a 94-yard, one-touchdown game last week on 17 carries at Cincinnati. He has a reasonably tough matchup this week against Dallas, but he's been good against Miami and Cincinnati the past two weeks, so he should be OK as a No. 2 start this week.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 9 vs. Bengals
Denard Robinson showed his first career start wasn't a fluke as he rumbled for another 108 yards on 18 carries last week, his second consecutive 100-yard game. I kind of like the matchup against a Cincinnati defense that has allowed seven touchdowns to opposing running backs this season. Robinson is a sneaky No. 2 start this week.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Denard Robinson Week 8 vs. Miami
A former college quarterback, Denard Robinson was finally given a chance to be the lead running back last week against the Browns and responded with 127 yards and a score on 22 carries. He'll get another shot this week, even with Toby Gerhart coming back, to prove it wasn't a fluke. The Dolphins, however, have been tough to run against and have given up just four rushing touchdowns. Robinson could produce with a volume of carries as a No. 2 running back.
