Scouting report

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Washington
Devin Singletary played 68% of the offensive snaps last Sunday which was the first time since Week 1 he was on the field more than veteran Frank Gore. However, the touches weren't affected as Singletary only had seven. However, four of those were pass receptions which included a touchdown.

Singletary will play against Washington who is 18th in aFPA to running backs. It's hard to say where the Bills are going with Singletary, but we expect him to stay involved and keep growing in the offense, Start him as a solid RB3 for Week 9. Even though he is getting playing time, we need to see him get the ball more in order to raise his value.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Philadelphia
After missing three games, Devin Singletary returned to the field. The rookie played 39% of the offensive snaps and had seven carries for 26 yards. Expect the Bills to increase his playing time and touches, but he will still be paired with the veteran Frank Gore.

Singletary has a tough matchup this week against Philadelphia who is 6th in aFPA to running backs. The Bills will look to throw the ball more and Singletary will probably be under 10 touches again this week. Keep him on your fantasy bench for Week 8.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Miami
The Bills would like to see more of Devin Singletary but he needs to get healthy. The bye week was good to give him an extra week so he is scheduled to play this week. Many thought Singletary would be the featured back, but veteran Frank Gore has been effective.

Singletary will face the Dolphins who are 32nd in aFPA to running backs. He picked the right week to come back but there is still a question of how much time he will get, but with the great matchup, we think he will have a good week.

Start Singletary as an RB3 or flex for Week 7. The Bills want to get him involved and this is a good opportunity to do it.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Tennessee
Devin Singletary is set to return after missing two games with a hamstring injury. He might not be 100% but will get around five touches. That's not enough to consider him for your starting lineup for Week 5.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Cincinnati
It's been a strange start for Devin Singletary. He is playing 70% of the snaps but is hardly touching the ball. And when he does touch the ball, he is having success averaging over 13 yards per carry. You would have to think the Bills will start giving him the ball more, but we haven't seen it quite yet.

It's a great matchup for Singletary who will face Cincinnati who was 29th in aFPA to running backs last season. This will be something to watch as the season goes on and if the Bills get more confident in the rookie.

For Week 3, Singletary only ranks an RB3 or Flex. We need to see more touches to elevate him in the rankings.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at New York Giants
Devin Singletary had a strong NFL debut despite only nine touches. He ended up with 98 yards from scrimmage. He is definitely the best option at the position on the roster despite the presence of veteran Frank Gore who is still listed No. 1 on the depth chart.

The matchup is good this week in New York. The Giants are ranked 30th in aFPA to running backs after the first week. Their defense wasn't good last season and it doesn't seem much improved.

Singletary is worth a look for Week 2. He ranks an RB3 or flex and even a bit higher in PPR leagues. His value will grow as the season goes on so if you drafted him, the reward will be worth the patience you might need with Buffalo's use of him.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at New York Jets
The Bills selected Devin Singletary in the third round of 2019 draft out of Florida Atlantic. The 5'7, 203 pound back was supposed to wait a while to get his chance with Buffalo, behind veterans LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore. However, a strong training camp allowed the Bills to release McCoy, Now Singletary will split time with Gore and should eventually be the featured back.

Buffalo's offense struggled in 2018 so there are still questions going into 2019. But the rushing offense actually was ranked ninth in the NFL, but that was partly because of their inability to throw the football.

Singletary is not ranked very high in Week 1 against the Jets, but is still worth a roster spot. But he needs to be on the bench until we see how much he is used and how far the Bills offense has advanced this season.
