Wide receiver Donald Driver (thigh) missed two days of practice last week, and it's clear he wasn't ready to come back. He dropped a ball early in the game and eventually left with an aggravation of the injury.

McCarthy didn't say what the severity of the injury was, but it's possible Driver could be held out this week and allowed to use an extended break through the bye to get fully healed.

"He's a warrior," receiver Greg Jennings said. "You know if he can be out there he's going to be out there, but there's no sense going if you're going to beat yourself down."
