Texans unsure when RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) will return

Texans General Manager Brian Gaine said in May that the team hoped to have running back Donta Foreman on the field when training camp starts this summer, but it doesn’t sound like that’s how things will play out.

Fantasy Impact:

The story went on to say that Foreman will continue rehabbing his torn Achilles in Houston until camp and says he’s “not trying to rush anything” as he works with the medical staff to figure out the best plan for getting him back to the player he was before the injury. Hitting that mark is “looking really good right now,” but Foreman isn’t sure he’ll get there before the start of the regular season.

Texans RB Donta Foreman is believed to have torn his Achilles.

As Rapoport added, it's terrible luck for Houston. Foreman actually was injured scoring on a TD. Blue looks like he'll take over as the backup to Miller and Todman moves up a spot on the depth chart.

O'Brien: RB Alfred Blue practicing better than D'Onta Foreman

Donta Foreman had no carries Sunday as he was replaced by Alfred Blue. Both Texans coach Bill O'Brien and Foreman insisted that his reduction in status had nothing to do with him walking out Friday.

O'Brien said Blue had practiced better than Foreman.

Fantasy Impact:

Foreman and DeAndre Hopkins both skipped practice on Friday, but Hopkins had a monster game against the Seahawks, while Foreman played just one snap. This is something to keep an eye on, especially for Miller owners who are interested in having his handcuff. Strangely, since Week 2, Foreman averaged over 10 touches a game before getting none in Week 8.
