Scouting report

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Decker vs Bills

Eric Decker definitely used the bye week to get healthy as his production had been bothered nagging injures. He will get targets and he has been the best Jets' receiver at getting in the end zone (4 TDs).

Decker has a very favorable matchup this week against Buffalo who is ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. Start Decker as a flex or WR3 for Week 12.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Decker vs Steelers

Eric Decker has been effective with Michael Vick at quarterback. He has been targeted 24 times and has 16 catches over the past two games. Although Percy Harvin is putting up bigger numbers on the other side, Decker is still getting the same amount of attention.

Decker will face the Steelers this week who are 13th in aFPA to wide receivers. He rates a low-end WR2 or high-end flex for Week 10, about the same as Harvin.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Decker vs Chiefs
Eric Decker was targeted a team-high 13 times last week and caught 7 passes. They went for a total of 40 yards. PPR league? Good. Standard? Not so good.

Decker will probably benefit from Percy Harvin getting attention on the other side, but the bigger problem is the Jets offense and quarterback. He will also face a very good defense that is 8th in aFPA to wide receivers.

Decker is a low-end WR3 in standard leagues and a bit higher in PPR leagues. Until we see improvement in the overall Jets offense, it will be tough for Decker.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Decker vs Bills
Eric Decker is still not 100% (hamstring), but he is still a very big part of the Jets plans in the passing game. Even with Percy Harvin on the roster, we don't expect Decker's numbers to fluctuate if he is on the field. The snaps will be interesting to watch, but probably not much different, at least for this week.

Buffalo is 28th in a FPA to wide receivers so Decker should have some success. Start him as a low-end WR2 for Week 8.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Decker vs. Patriots
Eric Decker was able to play last week after missing some time with a hamstring injury. He was targeted 10 times, caught six passes and scored a touchdown. The Jets definitely need him and he will get some fantasy numbers if he is healthy.

The quarterback play in New York still limits Decker, and it doesn't help he is playing the Patriots who are 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. Until we see better QB play, Decker's fantasy value will be low, and a good defense will keep him on the bench which is the case for Week 7.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Decker vs. Broncos
The hamstring injury continues to hamper Eric Decker who did not play last week. He has been limited in practice this week.

If he does play, Decker will face his former team. There is no doubt Decker will put up some numbers, but probably not enough to warrant a start against a Denver defense that has done well against opposing receivers.

NYJ WR Eric Decker - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5: Decker vs. Chargers
Eric Decker is still having problems with his hamstring, so even if he does play on Sunday, he is not 100%. Plenty of question marks with New York's passing game and a road game against a team who has been very good in fantasy against wide receivers means Decker should be on the bench for Week 5.
