Scouting report

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Atlanta Falcons

Ezekiel Elliot was a beast Sunday night averaging 7.9 yards per carry, and rushing for 151 yards. He also had six receptions for another 36 yards and another score. It was the first 100-yard rushing performance for Elliot since Week 6 and the 25 touches were the most since that game, as well.

Elliot has a great matchup this week against a bad Atlanta defense. The Falcons are 29th in aFPA to running backs. If the Cowboys continue to get Elliot the ball, the numbers should be high again this Sunday. Start Elliot as a top-five fantasy running back for Week 11 in all leagues and formats.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Philadelphia Eagles

Ezekiel Elliot got his touches back up over 20 and that produced 112 yards. Not his best game, but a solid effort overall. In fact, many critics think he didn't get the ball enough and that helped the Cowboys get the loss. He still remains Dallas' number one offensive weapon.

Elliot will face the Eagles who are 5th in aFPA to running backs. He has had success against Philly in the past even if it was only two games. He combined for 56 touches for 289 yards.

Elliot is usually a top 5 fantasy running back, but the Philly matchup pushes him down the list for Week 10. Start him as a low-end RB1 in all leagues.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Tennessee Titans

Ezekiel Elliot's performance before the bye against the Redskins was his worst of the season. Season-lows in rushing and receiving yards and most important - touches for Elliot. We don't expect the low touches to happen again this week even though Tennessee is fourth in aFPA to running backs.

Elliot is an extraordinary talent and even the best have an off game. Expect a nice bounce-back at home after the bye week. Start Elliot in all leagues and formats as a top-five fantasy running back for Week 9.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Washington Redskins

Even against a great Jacksonville defense, Ezekiel Elliot was effective. He ran the ball 24 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in a dominating Dallas win. It was his third 100+ rushing yards game in the last four and he seems to be ready to challenge everyone for the title of best running back in the NFL.

Elliot will face an average Washington run defense and he has averaged 110 rushing yards per game in his three-lifetime meetings against them. This is a great matchup for Week 7 so start Elliot in all leagues and formats as a top-five fantasy running back.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Back-to-back weeks of 27 touches or more is a good sign for owners of Ezekiel Elliot. Last week, the total yardage was low (84) and he has not scored a rushing touchdown since Week 2, but the touches will eventually pay off in both categories. Elliot is by far the most valuable offensive player on the Cowboys, and they will ride him every week.

The matchup this week is not favorable, as the Jags are 2nd in aFPA to running backs. But as long as Elliot gets the ball and targets in the passing game, he is still highly rated in all fantasy formats. Start him as a top 5 running back for Week 6.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Houston Texans
Ezekiel Elliot is proving his rookie season was not a fluke and now has back-to-back 100-yard rushing games. This past week against Detroit he was even more impressive with 29 touches for 240 yards. He added a touchdown to boot.

Elliot will face a Texans defense that is 22nd in aFPA to running backs. With the numbers he has been putting up and the favorable matchup, Elliot is a slam dunk again this week to have a big game. The touches alone make him a top five fantasy running back for Week 5.

DAL RB Ezekiel Elliott - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Detroit Lions

Ezekiel Elliott eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the first time this season last week, finishing with 127 yards on only 16 carries. He did not reach the end zone for the first time this season and he lost a fumble. While he added three catches, they were not impactful.

Elliott will face a bad Detroit run defense this week so expect some big numbers on Sunday. The Cowboys still need to find some more touches for him, but he is due for another big game. Start him in all leagues and formats this week as a top-five fantasy running back.
