Fantasy Upside
The Texans parted ways with long-time starter Owen Daniels this offseason, but fantasy owners shouldn't worry about the team being undermanned at the position. Garrett Graham took on an expanded role after Daniels broke his leg last season and finished the year with 49 catches for 545 yards and five touchdowns. If you're wondering about how the coaching change might affect him, Graham believes new HC Bill O'Brien will use him as an H-back. The fact the team chose to keep him over Daniels, tells us something. In addition to coming off his best season as a pro, Graham has improved every year he's been in the league. As CSNHouston.com put it: "Graham is just a younger, cheaper version of Daniels, one that's not quite as good yet, but one the Texans locked up for the next three years at a relatively affordable price."
Fantasy Downside
Quarterback has to be a concern for the Texans, but even the worst passing attacks in the league are able to generate production.
Bottom Line
Graham should be a reliable option for whoever winds up quarterbacking the Texans this season, and he'll be complemented by Ryan Griffin on the depth chart at the position. He's a TE2 option available at a low cost on draft day.
