Eagles WR Golden Tate said he would like to come back

Set to be a free agent, Golden Tate gathered with reporters before his exit interview at the Nova Care Complex, and he sounded like a guy who wouldn’t mind returning to the Eagles.

Tate went on to elaborate more, telling reporters that if he can’t come back to Philly, he’d prefer to sign with a winner over chasing the most money.

Fantasy Impact: 

Tate sounds like he would take less money to go to a contender, or perhaps stay in Philly. He said he feels his time is limited and he wants to win now. Keep in mind, the Eagles admitted they had a hard time fitting Tate into the offense when the team acquired him from the Lions.

Eagles WR Golden Tate (knee) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Tate will be fine for a great matchup against Saints slot corner P.J. Williams. In his last two games, he has turned 14 targets into nine catches for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Eagles OC Mike Groh: It’s been challenging to find ways to fit new WR Golden Tate into the offense.

Fantasy Impact: 

Facing a must-win game against Dallas in Week 10, and coming off a bye week after trading for Tate, the Birds struggled to get Tate involved against the Cowboys and he played on just 18 snaps. Tate did collect eight targets and played 70-percent of the snaps against the Saints with a 5-48-0 line, but the Birds managed just seven points in the loss.
