DET WR Golden Tate - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 – Golden Tate vs. Minnesota Vikings
On five targets last week versus the Buccaneers, Golden Tate caught four passes for 50 yards – his third lowest yardage total of the season. Since Calvin Johnson returned in Week 10, Golden does not have a TD and has been under 100 yards in four straight. The previous meeting with the Vikings was a 17-3 Lions win, as Tate led the team with seven receptions, but Johnson was out that contest. Tate makes for a WR3 play on Sunday.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 – Golden Tate vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Golden Tate finished with eight grabs for 89 yards in the win over the Bears last Thursday. Mathew Stafford threw for 390 yards in the comeback victory, but Golden has been under 100 yards in three straight and hasn’t been in the end zone since Week 8. The Buccaneers have struggled against the pass, allowing 245 yards per contest, so Tate makes for a solid WR2 play at home on Sunday.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Golden Tate vs. Chicago Bears
The Lions offense has been miserable the past couple weeks, but Golden Tate turned in the team’s best statistical performance in the loss to the Patriots last Sunday. Tate collected four receptions for 97 yards, including a 42 yard snag, and also posted a 13 yard run. After going over the century mark in five of his previous six games, Golden has just six grabs the past two contests. Look for the Lions to be able to move the ball on the Bears on Turkey Day, so keep starting Tate.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 – Golden Tate vs. New England Patriots
Matthew Stafford and the Detroit offense had a tough time in the Arizona desert last Sunday. After registering 100-plus yard games in five of the previous six, Golden Tate finished with season lows in both catches (two) and yards (41). The Lions offense has gotten off to slow starts for the past month and that trend could continue at New England on Sunday. Tate may get the Revis treatment, making him a risky WR2 start in a tough matchup.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Golden Tate vs. Arizona Cardinals
Even with Calvin Johnson back in the lineup last week, Golden Tate finished with a team-high 11 grabs for 109 yards on 13 looks from Matthew Stafford. Golden’s been over the century mark in three straight and five of the past six. With Johnson back to keep defenses from keying on Tate, he should post solid numbers the rest of the season. The Cardinals haven’t been able to stop anyone’s passing attack, so be sure to keep starting No. 15.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Golden Tate vs. Miami Dolphins
It’s been a fantastic ride for Golden Tate over the Lions last five games with Calvin Johnson battling a sore ankle. During that span, Golden was over 115 yards four times, registering 39 grabs for 599 yards and three TDs. After the Lions bye week, Johnson will be back on Sunday, meaning Tate’s productivity will likely drop a bit. But he’s still going to get his looks from Matthew Stafford, so there’s no reason to not keep riding the hot WR, even facing a stout Miami defense.

DET WR Golden Tate - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Golden Tate vs. Atlanta Falcons
With Calvin Johnson out of the lineup again last week versus New Orleans, Golden Tate put up big numbers, catching 10 passes for 154 yards and his second TD of the season. Tate turned a short pass into a 73 yard fourth quarter score that gave the Lions life in the comeback victory. Golden has registered at least 115 yards in three of the past four contests and should be another strong start this week against a Falcons team that is fourth worst versus the pass.
