LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Denver Broncos

Hunter Henry has 15 targets in the past two weeks and posted a season-high 90 yards last week, along with a season-high 83% snaps. Go deeper than the box score, and you'll also see Henry was stopped inside the 1-yard line at the end of the first half last week. That kind of usage now puts him on the TE radar each week. It's unlikely we see Henry exclusively block again against Denver, like he did Week 1, but that concern makes him a high TE2 this week but with TE1 upside.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Oakland Raiders

Finally! The Chargers are starting to use Hunter Henry as the pass weapon he has been since he broke onto the fantasy scene as a rookie last year. He's a low-end TE1 in 12-team leagues for Week 6, after playing a season-high 75% of snaps and getting a season-high 8 targets. He also has touchdowns in back-to-back games. Considering the wasteland that is fantasy tight ends in 2017, Henry provides legitimate upside.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New York Giants

If you're streaming tight ends, the Chargers give you the best chance of any to steal a touchdown this week. The Giants have allowed the most points to opposing PPR TEs, including five touchdowns in four games. Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard both scored last week. Hunter Henry isn't a bad dart throw if you need a TE and don't have one in the top-10 of our rankings this week.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Hunter Henry now has two games this season out of three where he did not receive a single target. With liabilities on the offensive line, he's being asked to block a lot more against certain teams. You can't start him with any confidence until he strings at least a couple good games in a row.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

After not netting a single catch in Week 1, the Chargers made a point to get Henry more involved in Week 2, catching all 7 of his targets for 80 yards. He gets Kansas City this week, a team he did score once against in two games last season but didn't reach 50 yards. How lucky do you feel this week that he'll find the end zone? He's a touchdown-or-bust TE2 for Week 3, as the Chiefs are fourth in our aFPA vs. TE rankings.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Miami Dolphins

Hunter Henry did not catch a single pass last week. Even more concerning is the fact Antonio Gates played more snaps than him in a matchup against Denver that should have helped TEs rather than targeting WRs covered by strong CBs. Now, Henry is too risky to start in your lineups. Find a streaming TE option for Week 2. Our streaming TE article is a good place to start.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Denver Broncos

If the Broncos elite defense is vulnerable anywhere, it is against tight ends. Denver ranked only 18th in PPR points allowed to the position a year ago. Hunter Henry, in two games against the Broncos, produced 6-83-1 and 2-14-0 lines. So, how lucky do you feel? We have Henry as a high-end TE2 to open the season in this matchup, which means it's likely a touchdown or bust proposition if you are considering starting him in your redraft leagues. Antonio Gates did also score a touchdown in the two games against Denver last season, proving even more there is opportunity for Chargers tight ends to score this week. Again though...how lucky do you feel?
