Scouting report

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Miami Dolphins

Hunter Henry is dealing with a thigh injury and it was Mike Gesicki who caught the game-winning touchdown for the Patriots against the Bills. The position is becoming too crowded for fantasy purposes, with Pharoah Brown also being involved. It’s just too muddy on a week with no team on a bye. You can probably find a better option. The silver lining is that Henry did score a touchdown in the first meeting with Miami.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Buffalo Bills

So much for that hot start. Hunter Henry started the season with a touchdown in each of the first two weeks of the season with over 100 yards and 11 catches combined. He has seven catches for 75 yards in four games since. With Mac Jones struggling and causing the offense to hurt overall, Henry has lost almost all fantasy value. He's a deep TE2 at best this week against the Bills.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Las Vegas Raiders

After a strong stretch in the start of the season, Hunter Henry saw all of two targets last week in an ugly game against the Saints. He did not catch either one. With the offense as a whole really struggling, Henry may go back to being a coin flip in fantasy. That said, he’s still arguably the top option that Mac Jones looks for. He’s a TE2 this week against the Raiders.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New Orleans Saints

Hunter Henry has gone two weeks without a touchdown after two weeks with a touchdown to start the season. However, on the positive side, Henry has reached 50 yards in three of his four games. With the current fantasy tight end landscape, he's still producing enough to be considered as a low-end TE1 this week in a decent matchup against the Saints.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Dallas Cowboys

It certainly stung a bit to see Pharaoh Brown score the lone touchdown for the Patriots while Hunter Henry was held to just 17 yards on two catches. He briefly left the game with an injury it was able to return. We still have Henry as a top-10 tight end option this week against the Cowboys, but it will be interesting to see going forward if Brown and/or Mike Gesicki start creeping up on Henry’s workload.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New York Jets

Looks like Hunter Henry is back. Two weeks in a row with 50 receiving yards and a touchdown as Mac Jones is throwing the ball better and connecting with Henry in the red zone. Henry is back as a starting fantasy tight end, even going against the Jets. If and when the Patriots reach the end zone, Henry is back to being a threat to score. It's great to see Henry back in action again.

NE TE Hunter Henry - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Miami Dolphins

Maybe 2022 really was an outlier for Hunter Henry. He got off to a strong start in 2023 with six targets, five catches and a touchdown. We’ve seen Henry be a key factor in the Patriots offense before and the Patriots did say they wanted to get him back in the mix. So far, so good. And while it’s early, Miami is a good matchup for Henry, who should continue to be a safety valve for Mac Jones as he continues to build back his confidence. All of a sudden, Henry is a worthy fantasy option again.
