Scouting report

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Atlanta

After excellent production in November, Henry started off December by producing his worst game of the season against the Patriots last week as he had one reception for five yards on two targets. The entire offense was stifled in this one, however, no one had worst production than Henry who was one catch away from a goose egg. There is hope on the horizon as Week 14 brings the Atlanta Falcons who currently rank 24th in aFPA to WRs this season. In a game that should feature plenty of offense, trust Henry as a solid TE1 in the opening week of the fantasy football playoffs.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs New England
Henry had another solid game last week against Buffalo as he turned a season-high 10 targets into seven receptions for 67 yards. With the return of Austin Ekeler, the offense was more diverse in its passing attack and Henry was one of the beneficiaries. Henry now has three consecutive games of double-digit fantasy points in PPR leagues and he is averaging 7.6 targets during this stretch. Henry is finally starting to produce the type of fantasy numbers managers were hoping for all season, so keep Henry plugged in as a top-five TE1 this week against New England.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Buffalo

Henry had a solid game last week against the New York Jets as he caught 4-of-7 targets for 48 yards and one touchdown. After only having one touchdown before Week 10, Henry has now scored in back-to-back games. It is a great sign for Henry as it once looked this season was going to be a wash for his productivity. With Justin Herbert growing in each game, Henry’s role in this offense seems to be that of a red-zone target. Whatever the case, Henry can be trusted as TE1 in this one.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs New York Jets

Henry finally struck pay dirt for the second time this season last week against Miami, as he caught four balls for 30 yards and one touchdown. Henry once again saw a healthy amount of targets with six, and his score salvaged what otherwise was another middling game for him. With the TE position being as scarce as ever this year, Henry will remain a firm TE1 in Week 11 against the Jets.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Miami

Henry had yet another middling game last week against the Raiders, as he caught four of his seven targets for 33 yards. It is beginning to look like a lost season for Henry, as he came into the season as one of the league’s brightest young tight ends who seemed to be on the same trajectory as Travis Kelce and George Kittle. It is clear now that isn’t the case.

With Mike Williams seeing an expanded role and Keenan Allen being one of the league’s biggest target hogs, Henry will remain limited to short passes with hardly any yards. Given the poor state of the TE position, Henry has been consistent enough to stay a back-end TE1 against Miami.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Las Vegas

Henry had yet another blasé game last week against Denver as he caught all four of his targets for 33 yards. With both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams getting the bulk of the targets, as well as the running backs seeing plenty of work in the passing game, Henry was the odd man out in this one. Henry hasn’t had the type of season most were hoping and at this point in the season, it’s looking less likely it happens. If Mike Williams ends up performing regularly as he did last week, then Henry’s stock has all but sunk. For now, keep Henry in the low-end TE1 mix.

LAC TE Hunter Henry - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Denver

Henry saw seven targets last week against Jacksonville which he turned into three receptions for 27 yards. It was not a good game for Henry, yet seeing those types of targets his way is still an encouraging sign. QB Justin Herbert has been throwing the ball Henry’s way this season, however, he has been having a mostly uneventful year. With the abundance of targets he will continue to see in at the tight end position, Henry should still be able to put up low-end TE1 numbers in this one.
