OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Green Bay Packers
The Raiders had a bye in Week 6.

Tyrell Williams is questionable but not expected to play against the Packers. Theoretically, this should open up more opportunities for Renfrow but the matchup is less than ideal. The Packers are ninth-best against the wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the half PPR WR60. The Raiders are only implied for 20 points and all of their receivers look like a safe fade. Monitor injuries closely because better wide receiver streaming options should be available.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Chicago Bears in London

In Week 4, he had two receptions on three targets, 18 yards, 10% of the team targets, and 5% of the team air yards.

Tyrell Williams and J.J. Nelson are questionable against the Bears this week. Renfrow’s role could expand if both players are ruled out. As of Friday, 4for4 rankings expert John Paulsen has Renfrow ranked as the Half PPR WR77.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Indianapolis Colts

Renfrow played 33 of 59 snaps (56%), had three receptions on four targets, 28 yards, 12% of the team targets, and 24% of the team air yards. Renfrow is a capable slot receiver but Carr’s favorite target short yardage target appears to be Darren Waller. Against the Vikings, Waller had 41% of the team targets and 41% of the air yards.

4for4 rankings expert John Paulsen has Renfrow ranked as the Half PPR WR80 against the Colts. Renfrow should not be in starting lineups.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Minnesota Vikings

Renfrow finished Week 2 as the Half PPR WR70 with 5.0 fantasy points. He had four receptions on eight targets, 30 yards, 21% of the team targets, and 20% of the team air yards. He will face a very difficult Week 3 matchup on the road against the Minnesota Vikings. The Raiders are road underdogs (+8) and only implied for 17.75 points. Week 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has him ranked as the Half PPR WR79. He is a safe fade against the Vikings.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Renfrow finished Week 1 as the half PPR WR90 with 3.1 fantasy points. He had two receptions on three targets, 13 yards, 12% of the team targets, and five percent of the team air yards. Renfrow had the potential to put up decent PPR numbers but Carr preferred targeting his new tight end, Darren Waller. The Raiders have a favorable matchup against a poor Chiefs secondary but putting Renfrow in your starting lineup is very risky, given his usage last week. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has him ranked as the Half PPR WR77.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Denver Broncos

Renfrow will play primarily out of the slot and has the potential to be a bench asset in PPR leagues. Fantasy owners looking for a startable waiver wire pickup should look elsewhere for Week 1. However, Renfrow gained significant value for the rest of the when Antonio Brown was traded to the Patriots.

The Broncos are better than average against wide receivers as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric that has them ranked 13th best in the NFL. 4for4’s rankings expert John Paulsen has Renfrow as the PPR WR85 in Week 1 with a median projection of 6.4 fantasy points.
