MIN TE Irv Smith Jr. - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Washington Redskins

Irv Smith Jr. had somewhat of a breakout game last week, finishing with 60 yards off of five receptions. He played a season-high 56% of the offensive snaps for Minnesota as Kyle Rudolph played a season-low 75%. Smith should get more looks with Adam Thielen injured, but he's still a risky play. If you're desperate for a tight end this week, Smith could be a sneaky start, but we wouldn't force Smith into your lineup.

Week 4 at Chicago Bears

Irv Smith Jr. actually led the Vikings in receiving yards last week, catching all three of his targets for 60 yards. Before you get too excited, though, he had just one reception in his first two games this season. And with Kyle Rudolph still present, it'll be difficult for Smith to carve out a real role. He's not on the fantasy radar.
