BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Miami Dolphins

Isaiah Likely caught three of his four targets for 56 yards in a big victory over the 49ers on Monday night. Likely now has at least 50 yards in three straight games and he remains a quality fantasy tight end in the wake of Mark Andrews’ season-ending injury.

This week, Likely has a tough matchup against a Miami defense that ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing tight ends. Still, his production in this offense makes him worth considering as a middle-tier fantasy tight end. Start him with tempered expectations, but he should be better than most of the streaming options available to fantasy managers this week.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers

Isaiah Likely caught five of his six targets last week against the Jaguars, gaining 70 yards and a touchdown. It was his second straight game with a touchdown, and he tied for the most targets on the team. You can’t replace Mark Andrews, but Likely is sure doing his best impression. Fantasy managers lucky enough to land him on waivers after Andrews’ injury should feel confident about him for the rest of the fantasy season.

This week, Likely faces a San Francisco defense that ranks 13th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. He’s starting to become matchup-proof, however, given the targets he’s getting and the athleticism he’s shown at the position. Continue to start Likely in what should be the game of the week.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Isaiah Likely had a great game against the Rams last week, catching five of his seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. Likely has 13 targets over his last two games and seems to be a key part of the offense now that Mark Andrews is shelved for the rest of the season.

This week, Likely faces a Jacksonville defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. It looks like wide receivers are the better way to attack the Jaguars, but Likely should still get enough targets to make him worth considering as a fringe starter this week. We have him ranked just outside our top ten tight ends.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Rams

In his first game as the full-time starter after the devastating Mark Andrews season-ending injury, Isaiah Likely caught four of his six targets for 40 yards. Most importantly, he played in 73% of the team’s offensive snaps. Any questions about whether or not Likely would be the primary replacement for Andrews were put to rest in the convincing victory over the Chargers before the bye last week.

This week, Likely faces a Rams defense that ranks dead last in aFPA to opposing tight ends. With a great matchup and seemingly a big role in the offense without Mark Andrews, Likely should be considered a weekly fantasy starter at the position, and we have him ranked inside our ten best tight end options this week.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Los Angeles Chargers

Isaiah Likely looks like he’s going to take over for the injury Mark Andrews for the rest of the season, but he had no catches on just two targets in the win over the Bengals last week, despite Andrews leaving early. Likely may be vying with Charlie Kolar for snaps, but we expect Likely to win out. He’s a risky option in an inconsistent passing offense, but he faces a Chargers defense that ranks 25th in aFPA to opposing tight ends this week, so he should definitely be in the streaming conversation. We have him ranked as a fringe TE1 this week in a great matchup.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Houston Texans

Managers who roster Mark Andrews may want to slide Isaiah Likely onto the back ends of their rosters as well. Likely had two starts last year while Andrews was hurt (Week 9) or resting (Week 17) and produced a combined 127 yards and a touchdown on nine catches and 18 targets in those two games. Likely has some value in deeper leagues, but is really only interesting in most formats if Andrews misses time. If Andrews is a late-scratch, having Likely as a backup plan should still net you quality production from fantasy’s most mercurial position.

Update: Andrews is unlikely to play, so Likely becomes a quality streaming option in all formats.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Isaiah Likely struggled along with most of the Baltimore offense last week, catching just one of his three targets for a solitary yard. Likely has upside in this offense with so few established pass-catchers outside of Mark Andrews, but it’s fair to wonder if the Ravens can ever sustain more than just Andrews in the passing game. Keep Likely on the bench this week in a tough matchup against the Jaguars, who have been sneaky good against tight ends. They rank eight in aFPA to the position.

Update: Likely is out, so be sure to get him out of lineups.
