Scouting report

IND TE Jack Doyle - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Jack Doyle has been as reliable of a back-up TE as there is in the NFL for the Colts, and now he gets a chance to compete with Erik Swoope for TE2 snaps, after Coby Fleener’s departure to New Orleans. The winner of that competition would have some upside if starter Dwayne Allen were to get hurt again in 2016, as he’s missed three games each of the past two seasons and 15 games in 2013.

Fantasy Downside
The Colts made a concerted effort last year to shift its offense from a 2TE base offense to 3WR, after drafting Phillip Dorsett in the 1st round. That is likely to continue in 2016, making it extremely difficult for the #2 TE to get consistent targets moving forward in Indianapolis.

Bottom Line
The winner of the Doyle-Swoope competition is a name to keep in mind if Allen gets hurt in 2016, but neither is on the fantasy radar for 2016 drafts.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jack Doyle - Week 4 vs. Tennessee Titans
Jack Doyle has caught five passes in the last two games, including a touchdown. He's not gaining enough yards on those catches (22) to make an impact, though. He's not worth considering.
