NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Panthers

At this point with Jakobi Meyers, you're almost content with settling for a few catches and about 40-50 yards. That's ok for a flex play, especially with four teams on a bye. Knowing he's the receiver that constantly sees the most targets at least gives him some upside, but not a ton.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Chargers

Jakobi Meyers continues to see the most snaps and most targets for the Patriots each week. But it's understandable if you get frustrated with the lack of output. And this week may be more of the same. The Chargers are our No. 1-ranked matchup defense against wide receivers. It could be another ho-hum 5-50 line for Meyers. He's just inside our top 40 wide receivers.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Jets

Jakobi Meyers has become the trusty receiver on the outside for Mac Jones and the Patriots. Now let's just get him into the end zone for a touchdown. He again led the Patriots in targets and catches against the Cowboys. He's not the most explosive receiver, but he has some of the best hands in the league. He had just 38 yards on four catches in the first meeting with the Jets, but has built more of a connection with Mac Jones since then. Could this be the week Meyers finally scores his first touchdown?

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Cowboys

Jakobi Meyers was second on the team in targets and, catches and yards against the Texans and has continued to be one of Mac Jones' favorites to throw to. But he could have Trevon Diggs starting him in the face this week and Diggs has been incredible this season. Meyers comes in at No. 36 among WRs this week even with four teams on a bye. At least you know you're getting someone that's consistently on the field.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Texans

No matter what, it just seems Mac Jones is looking for Jakobi Meyers. His 12 targets against the Bucs were double that of the next-highest and he led the way again in receiving with 70 yards on eight catches. Meyers is in the WR3/flex range just due to his volume, though the offense as a whole will cap Meyers to an extent. Houston did allow two Bills receivers to have over 70 yards last week, so keep that in mind.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Buccaneers

Mac Jones threw the ball 51 times against the Saints. 14 of those passes were directed at Jakobi Meyers, the only receiver to see double-digit targets in Week 3. He caught nine of those passes for 94 yards. He has consistently been Jones' favorite target. No reason to think that will change this week as Jones may be slinging it often again if they want to keep up with the Buccaneers.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Saints

One of the big questions for this week's Saints-Patriots matchup is will Marshon Lattimore and C.J. Garnder-Johnson play and how effective will they be if they do? That will certainly factor into the fantasy outlook for Meyers this week. Regardless, he is the early favorite target of Mac Jones, totaling 15 targets through two weeks to Nelson Agholor's 10. But Jones is still spreading the ball out, which will limit the potential of everyone involved, especially those on the outside. For now, in terms of the outside receivers, Meyers has the slight edge over Agholor, but both are still deeper plays this early.
