Scouting report

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Dallas
Jalen Hurts had the first big passing game of his young career with 338 yards and three touchdown passes. Add 63 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown and he had one of the best fantasy outings of the week last weekend. Hurts looks comfortable now in Eagles offense and his mobility is a huge asset which is where Carson Wentz had some of his issues.

Hurts will make his first start against the Cowboys who are ranked 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks. This is another opportunity for him to put up huge fantasy numbers which are reflected in his rise in the fantasy rankings.

Start Hurts as a solid QB1 for Week 16. We saw him do it with his legs two weeks ago and both his arm and his legs last week. That makes him a safe play against Dallas and he should help your team to a playoff win this week.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Arizona
Jalen Hurts led the Eagles to a win in his first NFL start and put up some good fantasy numbers while he did. He threw for 167 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 106 yards. His passing percentage wasn't great and he isn't going to throw for 300 yards any time soon, but his overall numbers receive a passing grade.

Hurts faces the Cardinals in his first road start. Arizona is ranked 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We expect more of the same this week.

Keep Hurts on the bench for Week 15 as he ranks a high-end QB2. We love the rushing yardage which helps his fantasy stock, but the passing game is still a work in progress.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New Orleans
Jalen Hurts had his first regular action as head coach Doug Pederson finally benched Carson Wentz. Hurts completed 5-of-14 passes for 109 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran for 29 yards. Pederson has named Hurts the starter for Week 14 so he has been getting reps with the first team this week,

It's not the best matchup to make your first NFL start as the Saints are ranked fourth in aFPA to the quarterback. The good news is the game is at home so Hurts should have some comfort level.

Hurts ranks as a low-end QB2. No reason to pick him up at this point until he shows some numbers that will help you this season which is highly unlikely.
