OAK TE Jared Cook - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Denver Broncos

The Raiders are finding ways to get their tight end the ball this season. Cook should see more targets this week against a Denver unit ranked 24th in our aFPA vs. TE rankings, as teams tend to shy away from challenging the Broncos corners. Cook has two double-digit PPR weeks this season, and he could be in for a third. He's a solid TE1 this week.

OAK TE Jared Cook - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Washington

The Raiders go cross-country, but it's on Sunday Night Football and the west to east trip issues should not be a factor due to the late kickoff. That's evidenced by Vegas assigning an implied team total second to only the Patriots this week for the silver and black. Washington is only 25th in our aFPA vs. TE rankings, and Cook has played extremely well in his career against Washington. Cook is shaping up to be a TE1 option this week.

OAK TE Jared Cook - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Jets

The Raiders could not have hand-picked an easier home opener against the NFL's version of 'Trust the Process'. The Raiders have the second-highest implied team total in Vegas at 28.5 points. Plus, the Jets are 23rd in our aFPA vs. TEs. Jared Cook started the season with a 5-56-0 line. In Week 2, consider him a possible streaming tight end option.

OAK TE Jared Cook - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Tennessee Titans

It's unclear what the Raiders have in store for Jared Cook in this offense as the season begins. Because of that, and the team's history of not using tight ends much, he is not near the TE1 tier for Week 1.

OAK TE Jared Cook - 2017 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

New Oakland Raider Jared Cook played well last season in Green Bay. After coming back from injury in Week 11, Cook was the PPR TE12.

Fantasy Downside

The Raiders are not a team that has made tight ends fantasy relevant. No Oakland tight end has finished inside the top-24 of fantasy scoring at the position in back-to-back seasons.

2017 Bottom Line

There are plenty of more attractive tight end options in 2017. Yes, the position is top-heavy, but after the big names it is also deep; however, Cook is not part of that group.

GB TE Jared Cook - Week 20, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

NFC Championship at Atlanta
The playoffs are why the Packers went out and acquired Cook, and he hasn't disappointed. He matched his season-high with 11 targets last week and put up a very solid line of 6-103-1, including a huge catch to set up the game-winning field goal. He didn't play against the Falcons earlier this season, but he's gotten 20 targets in two postseason games. That workload alone makes him a very viable play this week in Atlanta.

GB TE Jared Cook - Week 19, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Divisional Round at Dallas
Jared Cook saw a very healthy nine targets last week and managed a line of 5-48-0. A similar amount of targets this week against the Cowboys could be very fruitful, as Dallas' defense has struggled against tight ends all season and ranks 24th in adjusted fantasy defense against that position. With Jordy Nelson likely out, Cook could certainly help ease that loss and will be an athletic matchup issue for the Cowboys.
