Fantasy Upside
The upside here comes from Jayden Reed's draft capital, but we'll have to see how he plays during camp to get a better idea. Is he competing with Samari Toure for the WR3 spot or is he more in the mix for the WR2 with Romeo Doubs? Like the other receivers in Green Bay, most of his upside is tied to the success or failure of Jordan Love. If Love can improve off what we saw in limited action last year, it's possible this offense can support multiple receivers in fantasy. His second-round draft capital should buy him some leeway to get through early struggles.
Fantasy Downside
It all comes down to Jordan Love. We usually expect slow starts from rookies, just look at Christian Watson last year, but if Love doesn't elevate his game, the post-bye rookie bump could never materialize for Reed. There's also the other competition from the other young receivers in Christian Watson and Doubs.
2023 Bottom Line
With a late-round ADP, you aren't putting a lot on the line to bet on Jayden Reed in fantasy. For best ball or leagues with deeper benches, he's an easy stash betting on him getting in gear for the fantasy playoffs. If Love doesn't elevate his game and the Packers struggle, it won't cost you a lot and you can move on. At WR49 in our rankings, he's a worthwhile pick at ADP.
