PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 - Maclin vs. Arizona
When we last saw Jeremy Maclin, it wasn't a great fantasy day in Week 6 vs. the Giants. He caught just two balls for 16 yards on three targets.

This week, Maclin cracks our top-10, coming in ninth in a pretty good matchup on paper against the Cards. Despite the ranking, and Cards being ranked 22nd in allowing fantasy points to WRs, I would think Patrick Peterson will spend a lot of time on Maclin who right now is the team's most dangerous receiver. But the overall matchup and ranking are good enough to stick with Maclin who had excelled through the first five weeks with nice fantasy numbers.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 - Maclin vs. NY Giants
Jeremy Maclin found the end zone again, making it four TDs and five games this year. He finished with five catches for 76 yards and was targeted 11 times.

Maclin continues to get looks, he's just not connecting with QB Nick Foles. Maclin has nine catches over the last two weeks but has been targeted 27 times. The good news is, hopefully anyway, some more of those targets turn into catches. It's a tough matchup this week though as Maclin faces the Giants who are sixth in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Still, Maclin comes in ranked ninth on our list and should be in lineups.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 - Maclin vs. St. Louis
Jeremy Maclin had just four catches for 57 yards last week, but was targeted 16 times.

The Eagles really struggled to move the ball. Defensive and special team TDs came after the 49ers had chewed up some clock so it felt like the Birds never had the ball and it really affected their ability to get into a rhythm on offense it seemed. Maclin still had 16 targets in the game, a season high. The Brids have no running game right now and defenses are attacking QB Nick Foles.

Look for the Birds to bounce back this week at home against the Rams. St. Louis is 22nd in allowing fantasy points to WRs so this is a good matchup. Maclin comes in ranked 14th so he's a very solid WR2 option.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 - Maclin vs. San Francisco
Jeremy Maclin produced his best statistical game of the season: eight catches for 154 yards and a TD on 10 targets.

He's averaging 10 targets a game, which is a little surprising at this point because there was supposed to be a lot of spreading the ball around on this offense. But he's off to a great start, and as a result, Maclin shoots up the charts to a low-end WR1 this week in what is actually a good matchup against a 49ers D that is dead-last in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Given the struggles of the Eagles run game, and the 49ers rank in stopping the run, the Birds likely throw a lot in this contest and Maclin is poised for another big day.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 - Maclin vs. Washington
Maclin caught four balls for 45 yards and a TD last week. That makes two TDs in two games. He was targeted 11 times in the contest which shouldn't go unnoticed.

Maclin was getting open on Monday night, Foles missed him on a couple of potential big plays that really could have padded his stats. It's a good sign for owners to know Maclin is getting open and perhaps it's just a lack of time together in live action for QB Nick Foles and Maclin. It's a pretty good matchup this week against Washington at home and Maclin is ranked 24th on our WR list, although he's been a bit touchdown dependent.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Colts
Jeremy Maclin's one big TD catch saved an otherwise average day for owners. He was wide open for an easy score in the second half as part of the team's rally. He finished with four caches for 97 yards and a TD.

This week he's ranked a little higher in a good matchup. He comes in 21st which equates to a high end WR3 in 10-team formats. The Colts rank 27th in allowing fantasy points to WRs and this is shaping up to be a shootout as the Eagles passing defense is even worse than that. Maclin should be a good play for that kind of spot in your lineup.

PHI WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Jaguars
With DeSean Jackson now in Washington, Jeremy Maclin is the default WR1 for the Eagles. He didn't play at all last year, and has been a little banged up in camp, but seems to be on pace to be full strength Week 1. He's probably not an NFL WR1, and he's certainly not in fantasy.

This is a good first week matchup against the Jags, but it's hard to get a feel for how involved Maclin will be. There are a lot of balls to go around in Philly and now Maclin will be drawing team's top CBs. Right now, consider him depth with the potential to be much more than that once some questions are answered. He's a decent WR3 play.
