DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Houston Texans
Jerry Jeudy matched Courtland Sutton with four catches on seven targets in Week 1, but Jeudy got the fantasy headlines as he managed to haul in an underthrown deep ball that he took to the house for the Broncos' only touchdown of the day. It looks like Sutton and Jeudy will be in a somewhat even split for receiver duties catching passes from Russell Wilson, leaving plenty of room for both to provide useful fantasy production. Even though Jeudy turned in a nice performance in Week 1, the Broncos' offense will have better days ahead as their RBs squandered multiple goal line possessions with fumbles that make the offensive performance on Monday night look much worse than it actually was. With positive turnover regression coming and a prominent role in the Denver offense, Jeudy looks like a solid WR2 heading into Week 2 and a date with the soft Texans defense.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Seattle Seahawks
Jerry Jeudy will start off 2022 looking to rebound from a 2021 campaign marred by injury and poor QB play in Denver. Jeudy's surrounding environment has certainly improved since last year with Russell Wilson now under center, plus Jeudy should be fully healthy after dealing with a nagging ankle sprain most of last year. Jeudy should not have too many issues getting open against an unremarkable Seattle secondary that looks like it will start a rookie fifth-round pick at CB on one side. Jeudy's role in the slot could be lucrative if Wilson looks that way on a regular basis, and Week 1 looks like a great opportunity to get off to a strong start. Jeudy is an intriguing play on the WR2/Flex borderline this week.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - 2022 Fantasy Football Outlook

2022 Fantasy Upside
Jerry Jeudy got off to a strong start in Week 1 last year before suffering a midgame high-ankle sprain that derailed his second pro season. Jeudy missed the next six games but appeared to feel the effects of the injury even after returning in Week 8. The good news is Jeudy should now be fully healthy and will get a massive QB upgrade in 2022 with Russell Wilson arriving in Denver via trade. At full health, Jeudy boasts explosive quickness and precise route running skills that should mesh well with Wilson's aggressive passing style. Jeudy's role also leads to favorable matchups as he played more then 75% of his snaps in the slot in 2021. With the Denver offense on the rise, look for Jeudy's production to rise along with it as the regular slot receiver catching balls from Wilson.

2022 Fantasy Downside
Jeudy is still a bit of an unknown at the NFL level given the quarterback play he dealt with during his rookie year and the injury issues he had to manage last season. Jeudy has only managed to score three touchdowns in his first 26 career games, and in 2022 he will have to produce while sharing targets with a loaded supporting cast for Wilson. Jeudy's role as a lower aDOT player who is not guaranteed a large weekly target share lends itself to inconsistency for fantasy purposes. Jeudy will face the same weekly volume issues other Denver pass catchers will, and his lack of track record in a successful offense means he comes with more question marks than some of the other receivers being drafted in the same range.

2022 Bottom Line
Jeudy has had an uneven start to his career, but his surrounding circumstances have taken a major leap in the last couple of months and his fantasy production should benefit in a big way. Jeudy makes for an interesting Flex prospect in fantasy given his role and offensive environment, but inconsistency could be an issue with the stiff target competition he will face on a weekly basis.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Chargers

If you're still reading this, I appreciate you for a great season and it most likely means you're in the championship, so congrats to you on making it this far.

Please don't play Jerry Jeudy unless you're desperate, and I mean really desperate. This week he comes in as the 43rd best-receiving option in our rankings. Among all three Denver Broncos receivers last week, they managed to gain 111 yards. The only reason Jeudy should be in your lineup is that the Chargers give up the sixth-most fantasy points to receivers, but even then, you're praying Jeudy can find the endzone.

Update: Jerry Jeudy went on Covid/IR list today and is out for Sundays game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Raiders

Even though the Las Vegas Raiders are allowing the fifth-most passing yards (1551) since Week 10 we still can't be confident in trusting Jerry Jeudy or this Denver Broncos passing game, especially in the semi-finals week. Jeudy does lead the team in targets (28) since he's returned from injury, but he's only gained 197 yards, with the third most (235) AirYards, and running the third-most routes (137). Even with those surrounding stats, Jeudy still can't be trusted this week, if you want to know how bad it's gotten, he's currently ranked behind Robby Anderson this week in the 4for4 Half-PPR rankings.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Bengals

If you're still starting Jerry Jeudy, we might have to discuss a few things. Since Jeudy came back in Week 8 from injury, he's only hurdled 50 receiving yards twice. Vegas also has the Denver Broncos as a 5.5 point favorite this week, which is interesting, but it's another indication that the passing game won't be relied on like it ever has been this season.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Lions

The only player that we should be starting in the Denver Broncos passing offense is Jerry Jeudy, and even that's gross. Since Jeudy came back from injury in Week 8, he's seen 30 total targets across five games, good for six a game but only averaging 52 yards a game with zero touchdowns. Jeudy might find himself free against a poor Lions secondary, but with the Broncos such heavy favorites at 7.5 points, we shouldn't expect a big passing day from Teddy Bridgewater and Co.
