Fantasy Upside
Jonathan Taylor looks healthy again and when he is healthy, he has the upside of being one of the best running backs in the entire league. Taylor reached nearly 750 rushing yards and seven touchdowns and that was with missing six total games, including the first three. From Week 7 on, Taylor was third among running backs with 16.8 fantasy points per game. He'll also finally get to work with Anthony Richardson, who should open up the passing game and open up holes for Taylor.
Fantasy Downside
Richardson may also be a downside for Taylor. Richardson's own rushing ability could vulture work away from Taylor, especially at the goal line. Our John Paulsen notes that Richardson had a 38% goal-line carry rate. We'll see if that changes with Richardson and Taylor both on the field together.
2024 Bottom Line
The bottom line is that Taylor is still a very good running back and worthy of being an RB1 on your team. He may not be the overall RB1 anymore but still a top option nonetheless, even with the possibility of Richardson vulturing goal-line touchdowns. Zack Moss is now in Cincinnati so it's Evan Hull and Tyler Goodson among those behind Taylor, so Taylor will see the bulk of the work. Grab Taylor early.
