IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jonathan Taylor has reached superhero status after five touchdowns and 204 yards from scrimmage in a blowout victory over the Bills last week, Taylor was already taking the league by storm and just cemented his 1.01 status for next season.

This week, Taylor faces a Buccaneers defense that ranks 18th in aFPA to opposing running backs. Taylor is beyond matchup concerns anyway based on his usage and tremendous production this season. Don’t even think about sitting him.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Buffalo Bills

Jonathan Taylor had another nice game last week against the Jaguars, with 116 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He also added 10 yards on six receptions and led the team with eight targets. Taylor has been nothing short of fantastic this year and the Colts’ offense should continue to run largely through his legs.

This week, Taylor faces a Bills defense that ranks fourth in aFPA to opposing running backs. Still, Taylor’s workload and production this season make him a must-start every week. We have him “downgraded” to fifth this week, but he should still be active in all leagues, regardless of matchup.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jonathan Taylor continued his assault on the season last week, rumbling for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns to go with 28 yards on two receptions in a lopsided victory over the Jets. Taylor now has nine touchdowns on the season – and all within the past six games. He’s averaging a staggering 5.9 yards per carry and his 293 receiving yards are just six shy of his full-season total from last year.

This week, Taylor should have another busy day against a Jaguars defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing running backs. Taylor’s blend of talent, workload and matchup will have him vying for the RB1 slot again this week, and fantasy managers shouldn’t even consider benching him.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Jets

Jonathan Taylor had another nice game last week against the Titans, rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, and adding 52 yards on three receptions. Taylor was targeted four times in the passing game, and he now has seven targets over his past two games. He’s also found the end zone at least once in each of his past five outings. Taylor has been everything fantasy managers were hoping for when they took him in the first round of drafts, and his workload continues to give him a high floor every week.

This week, Taylor faces a Jets defense that ranks dead last in aFPA to opposing running backs. It seems like a great marriage between talent and opportunity, and Taylor should eat. Start him in all league formats as an elite fantasy option.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tennessee Titans

Jonathan Taylor is on a hot streak lately, with six touchdowns over his last four games, including one last week against the 49ers to go with 107 yards on the ground. Taylor is making big plays, grinding out clock, and finding the end zone, making him an excellent week-to-week option for fantasy managers. He has at least 100 yards from scrimmage in all but two games this season, and he’s averaging 17.6 touches per game.

This week, expect another busy day from Taylor against a Titans defense that ranks 13th in aFPA to opposing running backs. The Colts want their offense to run through Taylor and he should get a full workload in a matchup between two excellent running backs. He’s a must-start every week.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at San Francisco 49ers

Jonathan Taylor had a great game against the Texans last week, rushing for 145 yards on 14 carries and scoring two touchdowns. The Colts won handily and Taylor was a big reason why. After a slow start to the season, Taylor now has four touchdowns over his last three games and has over 100 scrimmage yards in all three of them as well.

This week, Taylor faces a 49ers defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing running backs. Expect the Colts to try a ground-and-pound approach again and to run the offense through Taylor. We have him ranked as a solid RB1 this week and he should be active in all league formats.

IND RB Jonathan Taylor - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Houston Texans

Jonathan Taylor had a monster game against the Ravens last week, aided heavily by an early 76-yard catch and run that resulted in the first of two touchdowns for him. After going scoreless his first three games, he now has three touchdowns over his past two outings and is still averaging 17.4 touches per game.

This week, Taylor faces a Texans defense that ranks 13th in aFPA to opposing running backs. Expect another full workload for the second-year back, giving him a high floor and a higher ceiling. The Colts don’t look to be afraid of leaning on him, and if last year is any indication, he should get stronger with more touches as the season continues. We have him ranked inside our top 10 this week and he should be active in all leagues.
