Week 2 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Jonathan Taylor only had nine carries for 22 yards against the Jaguars last week, but he added six receptions and 67 yards receiving, turning in a solid all-around debut, especially considering he split time with Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines. With Mack now out for the season, Taylor should see a huge boon to his workload, giving him tremendous upside for the rest of the season.
The Vikings gave up a combined 139 yards and a touchdown to the Packers’ running backs last week and struggled across the board defensively as Aaron Rodgers torched them for four touchdown passes. While the Vikings should be better than that, it’s encouraging as a matchup for the Colts. If Indianapolis can keep the game close or get out ahead and wind up giving Taylor 15-plus touches, he should at least put up RB2 numbers. With the depth chart less murky, Taylor is an excellent start for Week 2.
