PHI WR Jordan Matthews - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 - Matthews vs. Washington
Jordan Matthews was held to just one target in Week 15 against Dallas after posting a 4-51-1 line just two weeks earlier against the 'Boys. Outside of Week 2 when he went 1-17, Matthews has been pretty solid this year. But when you look at his last two games, we're talking about a 2-23 line with just six targets in that span. It's a nice matchup this week as the Skins are 28th in allowing fantasy points to WRs, but you have to wonder about what Matthews is going to give you if you're thinking about starting him in your playoffs. We rank him as a WR3. He has upside, but can you trust him and a Mark Sanchez led offense?

Week 15 - Matthews vs. Dallas
Jordan Matthews saw his productive fantasy streak come to an end last week against the Seahawks as he managed just two catches for 23 yards on five targets. This week, Matthews gets the Cowboys again. Back in Week 13, he put up a 4-51-1 line. Keep in mind, coming into last week had put together five very solid fantasy performance weeks. Matthews should be a decent option again this week in a home, prime time matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys rank 15th in allowing fantasy points to WRs, but the Eagles had a lot of success a couple of weeks ago against Dallas on the road.

Week 14 - Matthews vs. Seattle

Jordan Matthews continued his emergence with a 4-51-1 line last week against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. It gives him five TDs over the last five weeks and seven for the season, and it pretty much all started when Mark Sanchez took over at QB for Nick Foles.

This week's matchup is a tough one but with Matthews working out of the slot, he very well could again be a go-to target for Sanchez. Matthews comes with risks but he's been playing too well to keep out of lineups as a WR3. Matthews gets a pretty nice ranking at 27th this week on our list.

Week 13 - Matthews vs. Dallas

Jordan Matthews continued his surge last week again with six catches for 77 yards on eight targets. He's averaged over eight targets the last three weeks, a span in which he's totaled 334 yards.

For fantasy purposes, Matthews is the team's WR2, passing Riley Cooper in both production and snaps played. Matthews has taken off since Mark Sanchez has taken over at QB. After three-straight weeks of solid production, Matthews appears to be a safe call for lineups in most formats. Fire him up as a WR2.

Week 12 - Jordan Matthews vs. Tennessee

Jordan Mathews continued his surge last week with five catches for 107 yards and a TD. He was targeted eight times and surpassed Riley Cooper in snaps for the first time this season. It's his second-straight game with over 100 yards receiving and he has four TDs in his last three games.

All four of Matthews most recent TDs have come from QB Mark Sanchez, so Matthews has benefited the most from this QB change. This week it's an average matchup against the Titans, but Matthews has been hot and climbs our rankings all the way to 20th this week, making him low-end WR2 even in 10-team leagues.

Week 11 - Matthews vs. Green Bay

Jordan Matthews busted out for his second big game of the season. In this one he caught seven balls for 138 yards and two TDs. His second two-TD game of the season.

It marks three TDs in his last two games and he's benefiting the most, so far, from Mark Sanchez taking over as QB. Matthews had been pretty decent coming into the game averaging about four catches for 40-plus yards pretty consistently. He's got a chance to have another big game as the Pack ranks 26th in allowing fantasy points to WRs.

PHI WR Jordan Matthews - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 - Matthews vs. Carolina
Jordan Matthews caught three balls for 40 yards and a TD last week against the Texans. His TD came from Mark Sanchez who relieved Nick Foles after Foles injured his collarbone. It's good news for owners, as Sanchez targeted Matthews in the red zone. Matthews numbers could take a little hit this week if the Eagles look to run the ball a little more, but indications are the offense isn't going to miss a beat with Sanchez. Matthews has averaged just under five catches his last six games and is a shaky play week-to-week with Riley Cooper technically still ahead on the depth chart.
