The Jaguars apparently don’t have a backup quarterback controversy.

Even though Jordan Palmer led the team on game-winning drives in the fourth quarter of the first two preseason games, coach Mike Mularkey said Sunday that Chad Henne remains the backup quarterback.

So if the Jaguars keep only two quarterbacks, Henne will make the team over Palmer.

But Mularkey left open the possibility that they will keep three, which would open the door for Palmer to make the team.

It looks like the Bengals QB position is Andy Dalton's job to lose.

Bruce Gradkowski is the classic No. 2 systems quarterback. The battle is at three, where Jordan Palmer's experience has given him the edge.

First question: Dalton needs all the snaps he can get, so does that mean the first offensive line plays all the way with him? And will Palmer and Dan LeFevour get enough snaps to figure it out?

Fantasy Impact: 

Obviously Dalton can be had in your league very late in the draft ... most likely, he shouldn't even get drafted. He'll have talented rookie AJ Green at WR along with Jerome Simpson a possible number-two and Jordan Shipley the slot guy. At least right now, Dalton is nothing to get excited about.

Bengals OC Jay Gruden's full throttle approach means putting the gas on Andy Dalton. He's not saying Dalton is going to be the starter when camp starts. But he also said the camp starter may not be the Opening Day starter. He thinks whenever camp starts, the club will name a guy from the crop of Dalton, Jordan Palmer and Dan LeFevour. There could also be a veteran free agent in the mix.
