Scouting report

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Colts
After getting just seven and four targets in his previous two games, Nelson was back up to a healthy nine last week and had four catches for 91 yards and a TD. The Colts have given up 14 passing TDs this season, but surprisingly, just five have gone to wide receivers. Still, considering Nelson has six TDs this season, he's the best bet to get into the end zone among the Green Bay receivers, especially considering the team's troubles on the ground right now. Nelson's a strong start.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Atlanta
While Aaron Rodgers was putting the ball in the air 56 times last week, just four of those targets went to Nelson and he managed just one catch for nine yards. That should turn around this week as Rodgers will benefit from everyone else getting plenty of looks to ease the coverage on him. Atlanta's pass defense isn't great and this has the look of a shootout. Use Nelson as a No. 2 receiver with upside.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Chicago
Nelson had five catches for 68 yards last week against Dallas, but failed to get into the end zone for the first time this season. Green Bay will have a very limited rushing attack this week, which should present more opportunities for the passing game. Chicago has given up 32 WR receptions for nearly 500 yards and three scores over the past two weeks, so Nelson should be a strong play in Week 7.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Dallas
Nelson caught just four passes for 38 yards last week, but did grab his fifth TD pass and has now scored at least once in each game. He was targeted 13 times despite his low output, so his day could have been much better. Dallas has allowed six receiving touchdowns to WRs this season, so given his early output, there's a good chance Nelson keeps his TD streak alive. He's a WR1 play, as usual, this week.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants
Nelson had his first 100-yard game of the season last time out and is looking more and more like himself. He also has four TD catches in the first three games, so he's performing like a No. 1 receiver. The Giants have allowed at least 13 WR catches in each of their first four games, though they have given up just three WR scores. Nelson is too good to sit, though. Play him as a No. 1 receiver.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Detroit
Nelson still hasn't had one of his trademark breakout games, but he's getting closer. He had five catches for 73 yards and a score last week and is rounding into shape. In his past three games against the Lions, Nelson has averaged 110 yards per game and has scored three times. Nelson should be a strong start this week.

GB WR Jordy Nelson - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Minnesota
Nelson eased his way back into things last week, catching six passes on nine targets. He had just 32 yards, but also caught a touchdown. Nelson has five TD catches in his last six games against NFC North opponents, and he should have the rust shaken off by now. Nelson is going to continue to get better and he's going to continue to get targets. Better days are ahead, possibly starting this week. He's more of a No. 2 option right now, however.
