Week 17: Randle vs Redskins

The hand injury to DeMarco Murray has gotten Joseph Randle on the field and touching the ball more. He carried the ball a season-high 13 times last week, and although his fantasy numbers were minimal, his snap count and touches were up.

The same could happen this week as Murray still protects the hand and the Cowboys protect Murray. Randle will be in the mix again, but probably not enough to have a fantasy impact. Keep him on the bench for Week 17.

Week 16: Randle vs Colts
With DeMarco Murray getting hand surgery, Joseph Randle was a hot commodity on the waiver wire earlier in the week. However, it appears Murray might play so Randle might not have the impact that was initially thought. There is no doubt his value is higher than it was coming into last week, because it was about as low as it could get for a backup running back. Murray dominates the snap list and has most of the touches from the tailback position.

If Murray doesn't play, Randle's value rises, but we expect Murray to play and Randle will probably get some more touches, but not enough to warrant a fantasy start.
