Fantasy Upside
Justin Hunter could be primed for a breakout season. He’s looked good in the preseason and had a couple of monster games in the second half of his rookie season in 2013.
Fantasy Downside
After a six-catch, 109-yard effort against Oakland last season, he had one reception for nine yards the following week against Indianapolis. He followed that up with four receptions for 114 yards and a score against Denver. In other words, inconsistency. That’s a killer for fantasy teams.
Bottom Line
Hunter is definitely worth taking a chance on later in your draft. Yes, he’s got a so-so quarterback situation, but 6-4 guys who run a 4.4 40 are tough to cover. His ADP currently has him going in the 10th to 12th round, which is a nice place to take a shot on a guy with great upside potential. At worst, you’ve got an OK fifth receiver. At best, he turns into a solid No. 3 guy with 100-yard-game potential. The main thing standing in his way is consistent playing time. Hunter needs to move ahead of Nate Washington to realize his potential.
