MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Chicago

Jefferson once again failed to have more than three receptions last week, as he finished Week 9 against the Lions catching three of his four targets for 64 yards. With the Vikings running the offense through Dalvin Cook, the passing game has been almost nonexistent for the past two weeks. With Cook leading the league in rushing yards and scores, it’s difficult to project any member of the receiving core to do much, especially with Adam Thielen ahead of the pecking order over Jefferson. Keep the rookie WR pegged as WR3 in this one.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Detroit

Jefferson had a disappointing game against Green Bay last week as he only caught 3-of-4 targets for 26 yards. Jefferson drew coverage against shutdown CB Jaire Alexander which explains his lack of production, however the fact that Dalvin Cook ran the ball 30 times versus Kirk Cousins’ 14 passing attempts meant Jefferson’s opportunities were going to be limited.

There is some concern that the Viking offense will revert back to a heavy running attack against a poor Lions defense in Week 9. However, with a Lions defense ranked 18th in aFPA to WRs, Jefferson should still see enough work to keep him in the WR2 mix.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Green Bay

Jefferson’s breakout is real and before the Vikings went onto the bye week, he put folks on notice with a monster game against Atlanta where he dropped a ridiculous stat line of 9-166-2. Jefferson has three 100-yard games this season, with two of them surpassing 160 yards. While he was not featured much in Week 1 against Green Bay the first time around, he’ll be heavily included in Week 8’s contest.

The Packers are ranked seventh in aFPA to WRs this season, however, with Jaire Alexander certain to be preoccupied with Adam Thielen all game long, Jefferson should see plenty of targets in this one. Jefferson should have another solid game and managers can expect WR2 production from him.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Atlanta

In a game that saw Kirk Cousins throw the ball 39 times, Jefferson was a huge letdown as he only posted 3-of-5 targets for 23 yards. Jefferson will continue to see opportunities behind entrenched alpha Adam Thielen and he might be in store for a big game this week against a poor Atlanta secondary. With Dalvin Cook out for this game, Cousins might have to throw the ball more, shoring up Jefferson as solid WR3 with upside.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Seattle

After seemingly breaking out Week 4 against Tennessee with an impressive line of
7-145-1, Jefferson continued carried his momentum last week against Houston as he turned his five targets into four receptions for 103 yards. Jefferson continues to see opportunities in this Minnesota offense, with a lack of talent behind him, his role in this offense should grow moving forward. In what should be a shootout against a Seattle defense that has given up the most points to WRs this defense, Jefferson makes an excellent WR3 with upside.
