Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. Terrance West earned the starting nod, at least for now, with the 21-carry, 113-yard, one-touchdown effort against the Raiders. The performance took some of the wind out of Dixon's upside, but he's still a quality stash as this backfield sorts itself out. Dixon is considered to be the future starter in Baltimore, though West is doing everything he can to change that narrative. The Ravens are expected to ease Dixon into the fold.

Barring a setback in practice this week, Ravens rookie Kenneth Dixon in line to make NFL debut Sunday. Terrance West and Dixon should be 1-2.

Ravens, RB Justin Forsett to part ways

The Ravens and running back Justin Forsett have mutually parted ways, and this time he’s not coming back.

Forsett spoke with General Manager Ozzie Newsome Tuesday morning and expressed a desire to move on to another team where he might have a better chance to play.

The Ravens have not officially made the release yet, but Forsett tweeted about his departure.

Fantasy Impact: 

Forsett was inactive in Week 4 and with the return of Kenneth Dixon on the horizon, the Ravens were finding they didn't have a lot of need for Forsett. Terrance West started last week but talk among those who follow the team is this is Dixon's job at some point. For now, at least until Dixon is back up to speed, it looks like West will get a bulk of the work as the team's RB1.
