Fantasy Impact: 

It looks like Swift has made the climb to the top in terms of RB usage for the Lions. While Peterson ran 11 times to Swift's 9, Swift continue to lead the way in the passing game collecting four catches this past week. He's a safer option in PPR formats, but seems to be trending up in terms of overall usage.

Bevell: AP will continue to get first set of carries

In his Friday mailbag, Tim Twentyman of the Detroit Lions was asked about the team's approach to the running back situation. "Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said this week Adrian Peterson will continue to get the first set of carries," said Twentyman. "D'Andre Swift will be mixed in early on too. It sounds like Kerryon Johnson has solidified a role on third down. It's really going to depend on the hot hand early in terms of carries between Peterson and Swift as the games moves forward."

"That being said, Swift will still play a big role in the passing game. He is the team's second-leading receiver with 16 catches."

Fantasy Impact: 

Swift and Peterson saw the majority of work for the Lions backfield in Week 6, and it appears that will not change. Swift finally broke out last week, but as long as A.P. is healthy, the two will continue to have similar workloads.

Lions RB Adrian Peterson (illness) was added to the injury report Thursday after missing practice. This is worth monitoring since the Lions have a great matchup with the Jaguars. If Peterson were unable to play, D'Andre Swift and Kerryon Johnson would each get a significant bump.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (hip) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. It looks like Swift is getting closer to full health. His workload is very much up in the air after missing multiple days of camp. Kerryon Johnson and Adrian Peterson will also vie for touches.
