Scouting report

by Chris Kucharski

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Willson vs Cardinals
Luke Willson is the best fantasy tight end play this week on Seattle, but that means nothing in the bigger picture, as Seahawks' tight ends have been pretty much irrelevant since Pete Carroll took over. Keep him on the bench.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Willson vs Cardinals
All the Seattle tight ends seem to be getting involved so there are no strong fantasy plays here. Tony Moeaski had a touchdown last week, but it's like the lottery. Pick one and hope you get lucky. For that reason, keep all of them on the bench.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Willson vs Giants

Luke Willson is seeing the ball come his way, but the completions just aren't there. He was targeted by Russell Wilson five times last week, but only had one catch. This isn't a surprise considering how the Seahawks have used their tight ends since Pete Carroll came to Seattle.

Willson has a great matchup as the Giants are 31st in aFPA to tight ends, but that's not enough to warrant a start. Keep Willson on the bench for Week 10.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Willson vs Raiders
Don't get too excited about the Luke Willson touchdown. We have seen Zach Miller sneak into the end zone every once in awhile when he was the starter. It was Willson's only catch of the game. That number is more representative of his role in the passing game.

Oakland is the Week 9 opponent and are 18th in aFPA to tight ends. That really isn't much of a factor because Seahawks tight ends have not been involved in the pass offense since Pete Carroll arrived in Seattle.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Willson vs Panthers
Luke Willson was inactive last week (groin) but is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday. Don't expect anything special as he should remain on the waiver wire.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Willson vs Rams
Luke Willson had a career-high six targets last week, but that might not repeat any time soon as the Seahawks offense struggled. The tight ends have never been a focus with Seattle since Pete Carroll took over.

Willson will face a Rams defense that is 10th in aFPA to tight ends so the tough matchup doesn't help his cause. Keep him on the bench for Week 7.

SEA TE Luke Willson - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Willson vs. Cowboys
Luke Willson did make the stat sheet in his first game as the starter for Seattle, but it was limited. He doesn't rank as a starter for Week 6 and probably won't be a fantasy starter any time soon.
