Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 19. Mitchell is iffy, so he’s a risky play without watching the inactives. Michael Floyd is likely to get the start if Mitchell is out. Danny Amendola is back, so the New England receiving corps is suddenly crowded.

Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee, doubtful) missed practice all week and is doubtful for Week 17. If Mitchell is out, Chris Hogan and Michael Floyd will likely pick up the slack. We have more confidence in Hogan since he’s been in the system much longer.

Report: Pats hope WR Danny Amendola (ankle) returns for playoffs

The outlook does not appear to be a good one for WR Danny Amendola in the short term, as he was spotted leaving the locker room wearing a boot and using crutches.

Now, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the team is hoping that the Amendola will be in good enough shape for a return in the playoffs.

Fantasy Impact: 

Obviously the implication is Amendola will miss the rest of the regular season and that also affects the fantasy playoffs. He was poised for more of a role with TE Rob Gronkowski out for the year after back surgery. This likely means more snaps for Hogan and Mitchell going forward as the Pates continue to use three-WR sets.
