IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Minnesota Vikings

Michael Pittman Jr. struggled against the Cowboys before the bye last week, catching just two of his four targets for a mere 16 yards. Pittman hasn’t put up big numbers this season, but his targets and receptions have been steady enough to expect a rebound. He has at least six receptions in eight of his 12 games this season.

This week, Pittman faces a vulnerable Vikings defense that ranks dead last in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. The Colts are still a run-first team, but we have Pittman ranked as a fringe-WR2 option in a great matchup. Start him.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys

Michael Pittman Jr. caught seven balls for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers last week. He was targeted a team-high 11 times on the day and now has 27 targets over his last three games. The Colts are struggling, but Pittman seems to still have WR2 value, especially in PPR formats.

Pittman doesn’t have a great matchup this week against a Dallas defense that is above average against wide receivers. The Cowboys rank 13th in aFPA to the position. Pittman’s volume should still make him worth starting, but we have ranked as a fringe WR2 option for fantasy managers.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Michael Pittman Jr. caught six of his seven targets for 75 yards last week against the Eagles. The Colts may not be thriving with Matt Ryan back under center, but Pittman’s numbers look more reasonable. He’s had 16 targets since Ryan returned two games ago.

Pittman has WR2 upside in a great matchup against the Steelers, who just got torched by Tyler Boyd and rank 28th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s hard to trust the Colts’ offense, but with some stability seemingly in place right now, we have him ranked as a fringe WR2.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Michael Pittman Jr. had nine targets last week against the Raiders with Matt Ryan back under center. He caught seven of them for 53 yards. The return to Ryan at quarterback should mean good things for Pittman and fantasy managers should be back to considering him a solid starting option in their lineups moving forward, given his targets.

This week, temper expectations in a tough matchup. The Eagles rank fifth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers - although Terry McLaurin turned in a good performance against them last week. We have Pittman ranked as a low-end WR2 option.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Las Vegas Raiders

Michael Pittman Jr. was held to just 22 yards last week in a tough matchup against the Patriots. He only caught three balls, but he was targeted six times and has at least six targets in every game this year. The troubles on offense have definitely stymied Pittman’s ability to produce, even if the volume remains encouraging.

If the Colts get their passing game going at all this year, it should come this week. The Raiders rank 27th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s risky to bank on Pittman because of how bad the offense has been, but given the matchup, we have him ranked as a fringe WR2 option.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New England Patriots

Michael Pittman Jr. had only 53 yards last week against the Commanders, but he still caught seven balls and was targeted nine times. It was good to see quarterback Sam Ehlinger target him so much in his first career start behind center, giving hope for continued production for the third-year receiver.

This week, Pittman faces a Patriots defense that ranks 14th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect another busy day for Pittman, but with the offense sputtering as a whole, it’s hard to envision a ton of production. We have him ranked as a low-end WR2 option, with volume helping to make up for the struggling offense.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Washington Commanders

Michael Pittman Jr. had six catches for 58 yards last week in a loss to the Titans. While those aren’t great numbers, he had nine targets and is averaging 10.2 targets per game this season. The Colts will start Sam Ehlinger this week instead of Matt Ryan, so there’s some risk moving forward, but it’s hard to believe Pittman won’t still be the primary target in this passing offense.

Pittman has a great matchup this week against the Commanders, who rank 21st in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s hard to know what to expect with Ehlinger taking over at quarterback, so take a cautious approach. However, with his talent and size in a nice matchup, we still have him ranked as a low-end WR2 option.
