Eagles coach Andy Reid said that running back Dion Lewis, who was a healthy scratch, did not dress Sunday because rookies Bryce Brown and Chris Polk have earned the right to jump ahead of him on the depth chart.

He also noted that Lewis was slowed late in the preseason by a hamstring injury. Brown ran three times for 7 yards and was part of a fumbled handoff with Michael Vick. Polk took five special-teams snaps.

Fantasy Impact:

It's likely Lewis would get some committee action should McCoy suffer and injury and not be able to play.

Browns CB Joe Haden told the media on Friday that he will shadow Eagles WR DeSean Jackson on Sunday.

"Haden said he will mirror Eagles standout wide receiver DeSean Jackson in coverage, and he’s eager to face his childhood idol, quarterback Michael Vick. Haden said he met Vick at the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, and the two have kept in touch. As a high school quarterback, Haden grew up admiring Vick."

Fantasy Impact:

Haden has quickly emerged as one of the top young corners in the game so Jackson’s fantasy value takes a hit in Week 1. Jeremy Maclin becomes the better option, as he’ll be lined up with No. 2 CB Sheldon Brown.

Coach Andy Reid expects Eagles QB Michael Vick to be ready by Week 1.

"I think he's going to be fine for the first game," Reid said Friday.

Vick told USA Today on Thursday that his ribs were 80 percent healthy and that he was "trying" to get healthy in time for the opener. Reid said Vick and Kafka threw back in Philly. Reid was asked if Kafka, who's backup job appears to be in jeopardy perhaps along with a roster spot, would be ready for the Jets.

"He said he felt pretty good and his hand felt pretty good," Reid said. "We'll have Rick [Burkholder] check him out tomorrow and see where he's at."
