Scouting report

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at St. Louis

Mike Evans was a letdown last week. Not only did he have a dream matchup against the league's worst pass defense, but he was only playing without Vincent Jackson for most of the game. He's shown in the past that he can have high numbers with VJax out, but couldn't get it going last week.

Jackson will be out of the lineup again this week, but now Evans gets a tougher matchup against St. Louis. The Rams are tough against wideouts, and held Calvin Johnson in check last week. Evans has a high ceiling and a low floor this week, making him somewhat of a risky play. He should be viewed as a low-end WR2.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New Orleans

With Vincent Jackson back in the lineup, Mike Evans has seen a steady stream of production. He's had 63 yards, 64 yards and 61 yards in each of his last three games, respectively. He's also caught a touchdown in two of those three games.

Evans gets a favorable matchup this week, so we expect him to put up bigger numbers than usual. He missed the first matchup against the Saints with an injury. We expect Evans to be a WR1 option in all formats this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Atlanta

With Vincent Jackson returning to the lineup, Mike Evans' numbers have seen an obvious drop. He was an automatic 100 yards with VJax out, but now he has tallied 63 yards and 64 yards the last two weeks, respectively.

This week he gets a tough matchup against the Falcons. Atlanta has only allowed three receiving touchdowns to wideouts all season, and all three occurred in seperate games. Evans had 3-for-48 in his first outing against Atlanta.

Evans should be viewed as a WR2 this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Indianapolis
Mike Evans had a solid 4-63-1 stat line last week as Vincent Jackson returned to the lineup. It wasn't the monster games he's had in recent weeks, but it was only his second score of the season, which is promising. Evans will look to have a big game this week against a favorable Colts defense. He should be viewed as a WR1.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Philadelphia

Mike Evans is benefiting from the lack of any other resemblance of a receiving threat in Tampa Bay. He's seeing a boatload of targets and has converted them into 150-yard and 126-yard performances the last two weeks. He's had eight receptions in each of those contests, but no touchdowns.

This week, he'll look to break that touchdown curse (he only has one on the season) against the Eagles. Philly has allowed at least one receiving touchdown to wideouts in every game, but one this season. Evans will be a WR1 this week in a favorable matchup where he should get a ton of looks.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Dallas

On the surface, Mike Evans had a good game last week. No one will be unhappy with a 8-150 performance, but it could have been so much better as Evans had a handful of drops in the game.

Evans is literally the only receiving threat in Tampa right now as Vincent Jackson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins have been sidelined with injuries. ASJ could return this week, taking some heat off of Evans. It might be tough for Evans to find much room this week against a tough Cowboys secondary. Dallas has held opposing receivers without a touchdown in four out of eight games this season. Evans will see plenty of targets, making him a WR1, but just realize he could struggle.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Giants

Mike Evans had just three catches for 48 yards and no touchdowns last week. He's one of the best wideouts in the league, but he was pretty much the only threat for Tampa in Week 8. Atlanta was able to focus on Evans, and stop him from doing anything major.

Things could change this week, however, as Evans has a strong matchup against the Giants. In New York's last four games, they have allowed an average of over 200 yards combined to receivers and eight touchdowns. Evans should be viewed as a WR1 this week.
