Scouting report

TB QB Mike Glennon - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Glennon - Week 9 vs. Cleveland

Mike Glennon struggled mightily last week in a difficult matchup. He threw for just 171 yards and finished with one touchdown and one interception. He gets another fairly difficult matchup this week against Cleveland. The Browns have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in just two games this season.

Glennon has had a few decent games this year, but he's far from a great fantasy player. He plays in a poor offense and has a really low floor. He's not a recommended start this week.

TB QB Mike Glennon - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Glennon - Week 8 vs. Minnesota

In real world terms Mike Glennon struggled in his last outing in Week 6. In fantasy terms, he had his second 300-yard game and threw two touchdowns in a serviceable effort. He's now thrown two touchdowns in all three of his starts.

He may not be able to reach the 300-yard mark this week, however. He'll face a Minnesota Vikings defense that hasn't had a quarterback reach that mark all season. The Vikings have actually been pretty tough against quarterbacks this year.

Tampa often finds itself behind in games, leading to more pass attempts for Glennon. He's not a great option, but he can be serviceable. He should be viewed as a low-end QB2.

TB QB Mike Glennon - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Glennon - Week 6 vs. Baltimore

Mike Glennon hasn't been awful in his two starts for Tampa Bay this season. He's thrown multiple touchdowns in both games and is averaging 275 yards. He's been far from elite, but he's still serviceable in fantasy terms.

He could struggle this week against the Ravens, though. Baltimore has allowed one touchdown or less in every game. Add on to the fact both of his starting receivers are battling with injuries (Vincent Jackson didn't practice Thursday, Mike Evans could miss another game).

Difficult matchup + gimpy receivers + bad offense = bad option at QB.

TB QB Mike Glennon - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Glennon - Week 5 vs. New Orleans

Mike Glennon stepped in as the starter last week and made the Buccaneers' offense look competent. After watching Josh McCown struggle to throw to the correct color jersey, Glennon came in and had his first career 300-yard game. He threw two touchdowns and an interception.

The long-necked slinger will try his luck in New Orleans this week. The Saints have been favorable to quarterbacks all season, but we aren't expecting much from Glennon. With Mike Evans out of the lineup, Glennon only has Vincent Jackson as a reliable option. So basically exactly what he had last season.

He has a great matchup, but there's not much to like in Glennon and the Bucs' offense. He's one of the poorer QB plays this week.

TB QB Mike Glennon - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Glennon - Week 4 vs. Pittsburgh

Mike Glennon gets the start this week as Josh McCown is nursing an injured thumb. Glennon started 13 games last season was serviceable. He had double-digit touchdowns in eight of his games. He never threw for over 300 yards in a game, though. In seven of his 13 starts he threw for less than 200 yards.

The Bucs' offense as a whole has been miserable this season. Offensive coordinator Jed Tedford hasn't called any of the games due to a medical condition and is currently on an indefinite leave.

Glennon faces Pittsburgh this week, but the matchup doesn't really matter in this case. He's not a good fantasy option and he's not in a promising offense. He's one of the worst options at QB this week.
