MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Malcolm Brown's injury really boosted Myles Gaskins' fantasy stock as the Dolphins RB finally has a solid role. He's seen at least 12 carries in three straight games after having a three-game stretch right before where he had 12 carries. He's also maintained his role as a receiver, averaging 4.3 receptions in his last three games, giving him an average of 20 touches. He hasn't been explosive with his touches, averaging 63 yards, but if you play in PPR or half-PPR, he's doing enough to make him a solid fantasy option, especially with his two scores in that span. He should be a strong RB2 play this week vs. the Ravens who are 18th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to running backs. The Ravens are 5th (tied) in allowing the most rushing scores to RBs this season.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Buffalo Bills

The Dolphins' three-headed rushing attack shrunk to just two following Malcolm Brown's injury. This led to a season-high 15 carries for Gaskin, who ran for 67 yards. He also added 4-10-1 on four targets. Gaskin's usage has been a headache for fantasy owners, but he should have a better role now that Brown is on IR. Unfortunately, Gaskin draws a tough matchup against the Bills this week who are fourth in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to running backs. Gaskin played OK against Buffalo earlier in the season, finishing with nine touches (5 carries, 4 receptions) for 46 scrimmage yards. We'd expect a bigger role on the ground while he maintains his role as a receiving back, making him a solid flex play this week vs. Buffalo.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Myles Gaskin has been a headache for fantasy owners with his up-and-down performances. To be fair, though, Gaskin could've had a better day last week had he converted on more of his targets. He saw six targets, but only caught two of them for five yards while rushing five times for nine yards. Out of Miami's three backs, we'd probably trust Gaskin the most, but even he's proven to be unreliable. He gets a favorable matchup against the Falcons this week (30th in scheduled-adjusted fantasy points allowed), but he'll still be a risky RB3/flex play in Week 7.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Myles Gaskin ended up benefitting the most from the Dolphins' injured receivers as he saw a team-high 10 targets, catching all of them for a receiving stat line of 10-74-2. We did mention last week that Gaskin could have appeal as a receiver given the matchup vs. the Bucs, but even we didn't expect that considering Gaskin had just two touches the week prior. Gaskin still isn't used much as a runner, seeing just five carries last week for 25 yards.

He gets a reverse matchup this week compared to last week as the Jaguars have had trouble stopping running backs on the ground, but have been tough to receiving backs allowing just 19 receptions to the position, fifth-fewest in the league. Still, with Will Fuller on IR, DeVante Parker not practicing, and Preston Williams limited in practice, Gaskin is one of the few options Miami has left. We like him as a solid RB2 play in Week 6 vs. Jacksonville.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Myles Gaskin's role was reduced out of nowhere last week as the running back had just two carries (for three yards) and no targets. Gaskin has been in a shared backfield all season, but this was the first time he had such a reduced role. It's especially odd considering the week before he had 16 touches. Gaskin has an interesting matchup this week against the Bucs. Tampa Bay has allowed the fewest rushing yards to run backs so far this season, but the seventh-most receiving yards. Up until last week, Gaskin's role has been as a receiving back, so there's a chance he makes an impact as a receiver this week. But given last week's performance, it's hard to trust him too much. He'll be a desperation flex play at best in Week 5.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Dolphins gave Myles Gaskin a season-high 13 carries in Week 3 as they oddly phased out Salvon Ahmed, who only played five snaps. Gaskin finished with 74 scrimmage yards (65 rushing, 9 receiving), but again failed to score a touchdown. Backup Malcolm Brown found the endzone as well as QB Jacoby Brissett on a 1-yard carry. Gaskin is talented, but his ceiling is somewhat capped as he continues to split carries and not score touchdowns. He'll again be a solid flex play in Week 4 in a good matchup against the Colts, who have allowed the seventh-most rushing yards in the league so far.

MIA RB Myles Gaskin - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Las Vegas Raiders

The Dolphins backfield was much more split in Week 2. Miami gave Myles Gaskin and Malcolm Brown five carries each while giving Salvon Ahmed six carries (even QB Jacoby Brissett had four carries). But Gaskin was the only back of the three to get any receptions, finishing 4-21 as a receiver. Gaskin's receptions and receiving yards make him the more desirable back out of the three, but his stock certainly takes a hit having to split up his rushing attempts. He gets a solid matchup against the Raiders this week, and he could see more usage with Jacoby Brissett drawing the start. Gaskin should be viewed as a low-end RB2 heading into Week 3.
