Scouting report

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at New England Patriots

Noah Fant caught two of his four targets for just 11 yards against the Broncos in Week 1, on his way to 2.1 Half PPR points and a TE33 finish. It was not the game Fant enthusiasts were hoping for.

Fant is competing for targets on a low-volume passing game, but his matchup this week is not a terrifying one. The Patriots allowed five receptions for 36 yards to the Bengals tight ends a week ago (and could and should have given up at least one touchdown), but it's still hard to see Fant performing above low-end TE2 numbers.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Denver Broncos

After years of sharing the tight end duties with Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson, Noah Fant projects to be the go-to guy when the Seahawks line up in 11 personnel this season - which they project to do quite a bit. Fant faces his old team in Week 1 in the Denver Broncos, and they have been weak against tight ends of late. They allowed the most receiving yards to the position in 2023 and ranked 28th in aFPA to tight ends. Fant projects to be a low-end TE2, but his ceiling could be much higher.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys

With six teams off this week, Noah Fant gets his first blurb here in a while. It probably will be his last for a while too, so enjoy it. Fant hasn’t caught more than two passes in a game since Week 3. His highest yard total in a game since the Week 5 bye: 32. And everyone reading this has the same number of touchdowns as Fant this season. In its simplest form, Fant shouldn’t be in your lineup this week.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Arizona Cardinals

With six teams on a bye, Noah Fant saw a boost on the boards and cracked our top 25 this week. But Seattle mixes between three tight ends and none of them tend to make a huge impact consistently. But if you have to choose one, Fant has had a decent history and did have a stretch of at least 40 yards in three straight games this season.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New York Jets

Noah Fant has scored now in three of his last four games and has become the main tight end in Seattle's offense, especially with Will Dissly going on injured reserve. He did only have three targets last week but the touchdown helped salvage his fantasy day. Fant has become a solid target in the red zone for Geno Smith. Colby Parkinson isn't going to eat into Fant's usage too much, though he did see more targets last week (4-3). Regardless, Fant is the tight end of choice in Seattle and a mid-range TE2 against the Jets.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Kansas City Chiefs

Noah Fant now has a touchdown in two of his last three games as he has quietly been more of a factor in the Seattle offense. He is banged up however with a knee injury and he is questionable for Saturday. If he is able to play, he is a solid TE2, especially with Tyler Lockett out. If he can't go, it would likely be a split between Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Noah Fant came back down to earth in a big way in Week 14, seeing just one target and coming away empty-handed against the Panthers. With bye weeks over, Fant’s role in the offense leaves him with very little value in fantasy circles, especially in the playoffs. You’re better off rolling the dice with someone else.
