TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Doug Martin started last week, but Peyton Barber finished it. Barber led the Bucs in rushing with 12 carries for 58 yards. Even though Barber has played better than Martin, the Bucs appear to still want to use both of them, which hurts their fantasy values.

He gets a tough matchup this week against the Falcons, although when he played them earlier in the season he scored a couple of touchdowns. But they were both goal-line carries, and he didn't have a good game otherwise.

Barber is a hard player to judge because he's clearly outperformed Martin, but if they're both going to get double-digit touches then neither one is worth much. Barber isn't more than a low-end RB3.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

With Doug Martin out last week, Peyton Barber took over with a strong 102-yard game on 23 carries. He also led the team in receiving with 41 yards on 4 catches.

Barber showed a lot more in that game than Martin has so far this season, so even though the veteran is healthy and should return this week, his status is a little unclear. We're expecting Barber to be the main carrier again, although that can change once Sunday comes.

If Barber does start, he'll get a favorable matchup against the Lions. Detroit has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing backs this season and has struggled to stop recent opponents. The Lions have allowed 100+ rushing yards to backs in four straight games. In addition, a back has scored a TD against Detroit in every game but one this season. Assuming Barber starts, he'll be a decent RB2 this week.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Green Bay Packers

Peyton Barber only had 5 carries for 7 yards last week, but he scored twice, which makes him an interesting option in Week 13. With Doug Martin likely out, we can probably expect to see Barber get extra snaps, especially around the goal line. But Jacquizz Rodgers will likely get the start, making Barber TD-reliant. He's not a very trustworthy option in fantasy.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Chicago
Peyton Barber is expected to start for the Bucs this week after several backs before him are now hurt. The undrafted rookie has had some promising moments this season, but overall he hasn't been overly impressive.

Still, the opportunity for Barber will be there this week, although it's against a tough Bears run defense. We like the fact Barber will get carries this week, so he's a low-end RB2, but there's not a ton else to like this week.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Atlanta
Peyton Barber had 12 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown two weeks ago, but had just one carry for one yard last week. He'll get more than one carry Thursday against Atlanta after an injury to Jacquizz Rodgers (and Doug Martin still sidelined), but it's unclear just how many he'll get.

Barber will be competing with Antone Smith for touches, but don't be surprised if Barber gets more early-down work. He's more of a pure-runner, where Smith is a big-play receiving type back.

Considering the solid matchup, we like Barber as a potential flex play this week if you're in a bind.
