Scouting report

WAS TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New Orleans Saints

Ricky Seals-Jones took over for an injured Logan Thomas, but he didn't do a whole lot finishing 2-19 on four targets. He did play on 93% of the offensive snaps in Week 4, but he's just not the same receiving threat that Thomas is. Seals-Jones might catch a few touchdowns here and there as he did in Week 2, but he's not a reliable option at tight end.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Cincinnati Bengals

Five different tight ends have caught passes for Cleveland this season, and Ricky Seals-Jones leads them all with ... 229 yards. He does have four touchdowns this season, which is more than Odell Beckham Jr., but that's about all he's contributed. He's not a good fantasy option in Week 17.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Baltimore Ravens

After a brief return in Week 14, David Njoku was inactive for Week 15 due to a coaching decision. He's not listed on the injury report, so it's unclear if he'll play in Week 16. If he is inactive, Ricky Seals-Jones is probably the best option on the Browns. He's still not someone you want to start in Week 16, though.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Buffalo Bills

If Ricky Seals-Jones and Demetrius Harris could combine their numbers into one tight end, they might be a decent streaming option. But as individuals, neither one is putting up enough production to warrant fantasy consideration.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Denver Broncos

Ricky Seals-Jones has been hot and cold as Cleveland tried to find a replacement for David Njoku. He's scored in two out of the last four games, but he's also not caught a pass in two out of the last four games. He's a TD-or-bust tight end and Denver has only allowed one receiving touchdown to a TE all season.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New England Patriots

Ricky Seals-Jones has been surprisingly productive as David Njoku's replacement, but he's inconsistent. In his last three games, he's finished 3-82-1, 0-0 and 3-47-1. So two-touchdown games sandwiched around a goose egg. He's a very risky start this week against a tough Patriots defense, however. He'd be a touchdown-or-bust option and the Patriots haven't allowed a touchdown to a tight end all season.

CLE TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Browns are splitting time between three tight ends: Ricky Seals-Jones, Demetrius Harris and Pharaoh Brown. None of them have really made an impact in David Njoku's absence. In fact, none of them had any receiving yards in Week 5 despite all of them playing at least 30% of the offensive snaps. At this point, none of them have fantasy value.
