ARI TE Ricky Seals-Jones - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Kansas City Chiefs

Ricky Seals-Jones has had a total of four catches and 24 yards in his past two games and has only found the end zone once all season. Seals-Jones continues to be an athletic starter with high upside, but until he delivers on it consistently, there’s no reason to expect fantasy production in any given week, even in a nice matchup against the Chiefs. He should remain on waivers in most leagues.

Week 8 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Ricky Seals-Jones had only two catches for 12 yards last week. He was targeted four times, but his fantasy prowess has been largely fueled by a couple of good performance nearly a year ago, and his potential to create mismatches. Until he strings together some consistent production in multiple weeks, it’s hard to recommend using him. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere for streamers if possible.

Week 7 vs. Denver Broncos

Ricky Seals-Jones followed up a goose-egg performance with five catches and 69 yards against the Vikings last week. Seals-Jones has been woefully inconsistent, flashing high potential in the occasional outing, while massively disappointing fantasy owners in most weeks. While he has some potential as an upside-play in some weeks, he’s mostly a high risk/reward player who can’t be counted on for production. A matchup against the Broncos, who have allowed 422 yards and a pair of touchdowns to the tight end position this season, provides some upside but there should be better streaming options available in most leagues.

Week 6 at Minnesota Vikings

Ricky Seals-Jones has been massively disappointing this season, along with most of the Cardinals offense. He put up a big goose egg last week, although he did tie for the team-lead in targets with six. He has some upside this week against the Vikings, who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this year, but unless you’re desperate at the position, it’s hard to trust him. He should be considered a desperation streaming option this week.

Week 5 at San Francisco 49ers

Ricky Seals-Jones caught a couple of passes for 52 yards last week against the Seahawks. While his size and skill set make him intriguing, and rookie quarterbacks can often lean on their tight end, it’s hard to trust him until he strings together some consistent numbers. He’s worth a speculative add in deep leagues, but there should be better options in most redraft formats. Seals-Jones should likely remain on waivers this week, even though he faces a vulnerable San Francisco defense. He has some upside with a good matchup, but it’s hard to trust him as he’s yet to take advantage of considerable opportunities.

Week 4 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Ricky Seals-Jones had a touchdown last week, but it was his only reception of the game. He’s simply too risky to trust on a week-to-week basis. There is potential with the quarterback change to rookie Josh Rosen, but until we see consistent productivity from him, Seals-Jones should probably remain on waivers.

Week 3 vs. Chicago Bears

Ricky Seals-Jones only gained 17 yards last week, but he caught four passes and led the team with six targets. Seals-Jones looks like he’s going to be fairly touchdown dependent, with the Cardinals offense looking like straight trash through the first two games. While he has some potential against a Bears defense that has allowed 67 yards and a touchdown to the tight end position last week, he’s far too risky to bank on in most leagues and should remain on waivers.
