Scouting report

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Green Bay
Russell Wilson had an average game last week against Carolina. He threw for 277 yards, one touchdown and one INT. After back-to-back very effective games, Wilson has slowed down the last three, and now you have to wonder what's going on.

He will face the Packers in Week 14 who are 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Last time he faced them in 2015, he had mixed results with 206 passing yards, two touchdown passes and an INT. Will Wilson bounce back this week to put up some monster numbers? We think so. Start him in all leagues and formats as a QB1.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Carolina
In the previous 11 games, Russell Wilson rushed for 79 yards. Last week against Tampa Bay, he ran for 80 yards. It brought back memories of the old Russell Wilson, who was more dangerous with his legs than his arms. Unfortunately, his passing numbers also took a hit, as he only threw for 151 yards and zero touchdowns. He also doubled his season interception total to four.

The Seahawks face the Panthers this week, whose defense has taken a step back this season. We expect a bounce back game for Seattle and Wilson, so start him in all leagues as a solid QB1 for Week 13.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Tampa Bay
Russell Wilson had mixed results last week. Although he threw for 272 yards, he only threw one touchdown pass. He did have a season-high eight rushes, but for only 19 yards. The running game which was a big part of Wilson's value has disappeared. But the elevation of his passing numbers have made up for that.

Wilson has a great matchup against Tampa who is 28th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We expect Wilson to put up better numbers than last week and is definitely a solid fantasy QB1 for Week 12.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Philadelphia
Russell Wilson had his best game of the season last week, which might be a sign of things to come. If you remember last year, Wilson was the best fantasy QB over the second half of the season, which prompted many to have him ranked in the top-5 going into this season. But he started the season hobbled by injuries which led to him struggling at times. To go on the road and throw for 348 yards and three touchdowns against New England was a great accomplishment, although he is still not running the football (which was always a strength).

Wilson has a stiff challenge this week against the Eagles who are fifth in aFPA to quarterbacks. That matchup might knock him down the rankings a little bit, but he should still be in your starting lineup for Week 11 as a low-end QB1.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New England
Russell Wilson finally broke through last week throwing two touchdowns and running for another. It was his first TD pass since Week 4 and his first rushing touchdown of the season. Will this put him on a similar path like 2015 when he exploded in the second half of the season? We want to see him do it again.

Wilson will face the Patriots who are 24th in aFPA to quarterbacks. But even with a favorable matchup, Wilson struggles a little bit on the road and should at Foxborough. Keep him on the bench as a solid QB2.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Buffalo
You can officially worry. Russell Wilson has not thrown a touchdown pass since Week 4. Yes, he has been banged up, but to throw zero TDs against the Saints...well, that is worrisome.

Wilson will be back in front of his home crowd this week against Buffalo, who is 10th in aFPA to quarterbacks. There is no doubt he has been one of the disappointments in 2016, mainly because of what we saw at the end of last season. If you do start him this week, Wilson rates a low-end QB1, but he is starting to look like a fantasy bust considering many ranked him a top-3 fantasy QB.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans
Russell Wilson has thrown for 270 and 225 yards over the past two games, but has not thrown a touchdown. Even more interesting is he has now rushed the football 22 times for just 33 yards this season. It seems that part of his game has left his repertoire, which hurts his fantasy value.

Wilson is still a good fantasy quarterback, but he has to start finding the end zone more. For the season, he has thrown only five touchdown passes and three came in one game.

Wilson will face the Saints defense, which is 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks. This matchup puts Wilson in play for Week 8, so start him as a solid QB1.
