Scouting report

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Pittsburgh

After only throwing multi-touchdowns in one game this season, Russell Wilson exploded with three touchdown passes against the Niners. He also completed 83 percent of his passes plus 260 yards and zero picks. This is the kind of game we thought we might see on a regular basis for Wilson this season.

The Seahawks are home against the Steelers this week, who are 12th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Maybe the last game will get Wilson going, so he ranks a solid QB1 for Week 12. Start him in all leagues and formats.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs San Francisco

Russell Wilson continues to be average. He threw for 240 yards against Arizona, but only completed 44 percent of his passes. For the fourth time this season, he threw one touchdown pass and one interception in the same game. However, he did rush for 52 yards which was his third highest total of the season. He still does not have a rushing touchdown.

The good news is he has a chance this week to increase those pedestrian numbers because the Niners are 25th in aFPA to quarterbacks, although Wilson didn't have a stellar game in the first meeting back in Week 7 (235 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT). We like the matchup at home so start Wilson as a solid QB1 for Week 11.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Cardinals
The Seahawks return after a bye week and hopefully Russell Wilson will come back refreshed and a different. His production has not been what most experts expected. He has only thrown multi-touchdown in a game once this season and has zero rushing touchdowns. The rushing numbers are definitely lower than the past even with the passing the number about the same. Seattle will face Arizona who is 14th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Although, we don't expect a sudden change, Wilson is still a strong play for Week 10 as a low-end QB1.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Dallas
Russell Wilson has only thrown multiple touchdowns in one game this season, and last week, he threw multiple interceptions in a game for the first time all year. He is averaging less than 40 yards rushing per game and has not scored a rushing TD. It's safe to say Wilson's numbers have regressed since last year. He will face a Dallas defense that is 6th in aFPA to quarterbacks so those number might not change any time soon. For the first time this season, Wilson should stay on the bench. He rates only a mid-range QB2 for Week 8.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at San Francisco

For the second straight week, Russell Wilson threw under 30 passes, which has been the formula for the Seahawks over the past several years. His numbers were very average (like in the past) but he did enough for his team to win (the defense did not). Unfortunately, he is still getting pressured and sacked on most pass attempts, which is having a negative effect on his fantasy numbers.

The good news is he faces a 49ers defense that has struggled this season. They are 29th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Historically, Wilson has not put up good numbers against the Niners in his six starts, but this is a different San Francisco defense. Start Wilson in all formats as a solid QB1 and expect him to put up top-5 QB fantasy numbers this week.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Carolina
The numbers continue to be averag,e which might disappoint people. Some thought the Seahawks were going to take the leash off Wilson and let him make more throws, but that has only happened once this season. He still reached the 200 passing yard mark for the fifth time this season despite only throwing 23 passes. Wilson faces Carolina this week, who is 4th in aFPA to quarterbacks. This definitely impacts his rating for Week 6. Although he should be starting for you, he is a low-end QB1 against the Panthers.

SEA QB Russell Wilson - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Cincinnati
The numbers Russell Wilson put up Monday night are exactly what the Seahawks want from him - a season-low 26 attempts, but a season-high 287 yards aided by a 77-percent completion rate. The only thing missing right now are TD passes and runs, but that should come.

Wilson has an average matchup this week against Cincinnati, who is 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks. However, the game is on the road where the Bengals seem to play better defensively. Wilson is still a top-tier fantasy quarterback and is a top-5 QB this week. Start him in all leagues and formats.
