Scouting report

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Ryan Fitzpatrick was surprisingly productive last week, finishing with 214 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. On the ground, he led Miami in rushing with 45 yards and a score. Despite the productive day, he's still not a great option as the two games before that performance he had zero passing touchdowns. And he gets a difficult matchup against an Eagles defense that's been tough on quarterbacks lately. Fitzpatrick should be viewed among the worst QB options available for Week 13.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Cleveland Browns

Ryan Fitzpatrick had an odd game last week, finishing with a season-high 323 passing yards, but no touchdowns. He's now had two straight games with no passing touchdowns as it appears the loss of Preston Williams has taken its toll. This week he'll face a Browns defense giving up an average of 18.18 fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. You can likely expect a little less than that from Fitzpatrick, making him a below-average option at QB.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Buffalo Bills

Ryan Fitzpatrick wasn't great last week as he finished with 169 passing yards, no passing touchdowns and an interception. He did run in a score, but those aren't too reliable moving forward. He faces the Bills this week, a team he faced earlier in the season. In that game, Fitzpatrick finished with 282 passing yards (his second-highest total on the season) and two touchdowns (one rushing, one passing). Despite the decent outing last time, it's hard to recommend Fitzpatrick moving forward. He has a weak receiving corps and a bad offense overall to work with. We recommend you don't play him.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Indianapolis Colts

Ryan Fitzpatrick was ... good? The Dolphins QB had a solid fantasy outing last week, finishing with 288 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Jets. Miami couldn't get anything going on the ground, which led to more passes. It's difficult to buy into Fitzpatrick being a great fantasy option moving forward, though. Not only has he been bad all year before that game, but Miami just lost Preston Williams for the season. He faces a Colts defense this week that's allowing an average of 15.66 fantasy points to quarterbacks, and you can expect slightly worse production from Fitzpatrick this week. He's in the bottom tier of quarterback options.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Jets

Ryan Fitzpatrick had an OK game last week, for his standards, finishing with 190 passing yards and two touchdowns. But he also had three turnovers, so it wasn't that great of a game overall. Fitzpatrick has five touchdowns and seven interceptions in six game appearances this season. It doesn't really matter what the matchup is, honestly. He's a bad play every week and you shouldn't even be reading this.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Ryan Fitzpatrick was ... not terrible last week. He finished with 282 passing yards with one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown. It was one of the rare games where a Dolphins quarterback wasn't useless. But don't expect that to continue. He gets a tough matchup against the Steelers this week who are allowing an average of 14.85 points to quarterbacks this season. And considering the Dolphins are worse than your average team, you can expect production below that number. Fitzpatrick would be a bad start this week.

MIA QB Ryan Fitzpatrick - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Buffalo Bills

For some reason, Miami is going back to Ryan Fitzpatrick this week as the Dolphins take on the Bills. He looked good last week playing late in the game against the Redskins, but that was against a bad defense. He gets a much tougher defense this week in Buffalo as the Bills have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Fitzpatrick was already a bad option to begin with, and the matchup makes him the worst QB option you can go with this week (outside of a backup who isn't starting).
