JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New England Patriots (in London)

The door is open for Tank Bigsby to be the lead back for the Jaguars in Week 7 due to the hamstring injury to Travis Etienne. Bigsby faces a Patriots team that ranks 19th against the run at about 130 rushing yards per game. Even after last week's performance, Bigsby is averaging 7.2 yards per carry. D'Ernest Johnson will also see some work some Bigsby should have more value and is a borderline RB2 this week.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Chicago Bears (in London)

Tank Bigsby has turned the Jacksonville backfield into a timeshare. He saw double the carries as Travis Etienne in Week 5 and the two played about the same number of snaps -- Bigsby actually played one more. Etienne still is slightly ahead of Bigsby thanks to his usage in the passing game, but Bigsby has had plenty of explosive plays and has gotten on the field enough that he is a solid Flex option going forward. He gets a good matchup as the Bears have allowed six rushing touchdowns through five games, tied for 3rd in the league.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Could Tank Bigsby be starting to earn more work on offense? He had 90 yards on seven carries last week and is now averaging 8.2 yards per carry. We need to see it a little more consistently on a weekly basis but Bigsby is creeping up fantasy boards. At the very least, he's one of the top handcuffs and would become a strong fantasy option if Travis Etienne misses time -- Etienne left Week 4 for a short time with a shoulder injury. Keep a close eye on this backfield.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Tank Bigsby continues to exist on the scraps left by Travis Etienne in the Jaguars offense. He rushed three times for eight yards against the Bills and failed to register a target. He managed 0.8 Half-PPR points and sits at RB75 in fantasy points per game.

The Colts, the Jaguars opponents this week, are not an intimidating matchup for running backs, ranking 23rd in aFPA to tailbacks in 2023. But Bigsby is seeing so little work that he has no place in the starting lineup of any fantasy managers at the moment.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo Bills (London)

Even in games that the Jaguars dominate, Tank Bigsby continues to struggle to eat into Travis Etienne's workload. Bigbsy carried the ball just three times against the Falcons, with his 10 yards enough to earn him the RB74 spot in Week 4. 66 running backs average more Half-PPR points per game this season than Bigbsy.

A bad matchup against the Bills who rank eighth in aFPA to running backs in 2023 and a lack of a notable role in the offense means Bigsby continues to be a player only a fool or a hero would start in fantasy. He's a desperation RB4 at the very best.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Atlanta Falcons (London)

Tank Bigsby continues to see very limited work for the Jaguars, with the rookie earning two carries against the Texans and failing to reel in his only target. He only earned 10 yards, but he did score a touchdown. Bigsby managed 7.0 Half PPR points and an RB29 finish for the week.

The Falcons have not been an easy out for running backs this season, and currently rank eighth in aFPA to the position in 2023. Bigsby isn't a player that you need to be starting in Week 4.

JAX RB Tank Bigsby - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Houston Texans

Tank Bigsby came as close as possible to doing absolutely nothing for the Jaguars in Week 2. The rookie played 13 snaps and didn’t register a single touch. This comes after just seven in Week 1.

The Jaguars are heavy favourites against the Texans, and the visitors are the best fantasy matchup for running backs on the Week 3 slate. If the game gets out of hand, then Bigsby could see some mop up duty late in the game. But he’s unlikely to see enough work to make him fantasy relevant. He is not a must play in any formats, save for the very deepest.
