CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Green Bay Packers

Tarik Cohen had another Tarik Cohenesque game last week, finishing with very little yards, but a lot of receptions. He finished with seven yards on the ground, giving him eight games with 10 or fewer rushing yards. He went 6-24 as a receiver, which only really helps if you play in full PPR leagues. He's sixth among running backs in receptions this year, but 14th in receiving yards. He faces a Packers defense this week that he faced earlier in the season. In that game, he had no carries, but caught a season-high eight passes for 49 yards. Don't expect much from Cohen this week as he's a desperation flex play in PPR leagues and pretty much a non-factor in standard formats.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Tarik Cohen is seventh among running backs in receptions (54) but 18th in receiving yards per game (25.5). He's also been a pretty much non-factor as a runner, averaging just 12.5 yards. He's not a great touchdown threat either, scoring three times (all receptions) in 2019. He's basically a desperation flex play in PPR formats at this point. He does face a Dallas defense this week that's allowed the sixth-most receptions to running backs, so perhaps he has some value, but not much.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Detroit Lions

Tarik Cohen has surprisingly led the Bears in rushing yards in back-to-back games, although that's not saying much as his rushing totals have been 39 and 25 yards, respectively. He did have a big game as a receiver last week, hauling in seven receptions for 29 yards. We've seen this a lot from Cohen in 2019 where he'll get a lot of catches, but finish with few yards. He gets a favorable matchup against the Lions this week. In his first game against Detroit this year, he finished 3-14 on the ground and 4-23-1 as a receiver. He should be viewed as an RB3 or flex play in Week 13.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants

Tarik Cohen has now scored in back-to-back games, and surpassed 50 scrimmage yards in a game for the first time ever all season last week (74). One could see it as a trend in the right direction, but it could also be viewed as an anomaly. After all, he did have 39 rushing yards in Week 11 when he had 40 combined rushing yards in his four games before that one. Cohen should be viewed pretty much exclusively in PPR formats as he typically doesn't get enough yards to warrant starting him in standard. And even then, he's best as a flex play. This week he faces the Giants, who have allowed the seventh-fewest receptions to running backs in 2019.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Rams

Tarik Cohen ran for 14 yards on three carries and caught four passes for 23 yards last week. He also scored his second touchdown of the season. Cohen has been used minimally in the Bears offense having just one game with more than 10 touches and no games with 50 or more scrimmage yards. He's not much more than a desperation flex play at this point.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Tarik Cohen once again had a disappointing outing last week. He had just four touches for 16 total yards. He's only had more than 10 touches in a game once this season. He's a non-factor as a runner, averaging just eight yards on the ground. He's barely a factor as a receiver, finishing below 50 receiving yards in every game. He hasn't even been a great PPR choice as he's had 5+ receptions in just three of his eight outings. He gets a great matchup against the Lions this week, but he's not much more than a desperation flex play.

CHI RB Tarik Cohen - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Philadelphia Eagles

Tarik Cohen hasn't been able to do anything on the ground this year as he's finished below 20 rushing yards in every game and with 10 or fewer rushing yards in five games (out of seven). He's had a minimal role as a receiver as he's averaging just over 26 receiving yards per game. Basically, you have to hope for Cohen to catch many passes in a full PPR format for him to have value. He is facing an Eagles defense this week that's allowed the sixth-most receptions to running backs in 2019, but that's a tricky stat. Cohen isn't much more than a low-end flex play in PPR leagues.
